For crafted gear you can meld beyond its materia slots up to 5 total pieces, it's called advanced melding in game, but most people call it penta/over melding. This is also very expensive so only do it if you're aiming to min max your character for gathering/crafting/raiding

can't select it baseline though, have to try once first

Procession is the cutscene where you walk down the aisle and get wed by the moogle. Reception is after the procession, where the guests mingle for iirc 20 minutes before you get kicked out.

1. Can I alter my hero's resting cutscene face? He always seems grim/dim/sad/not-engaged.
2. I am new to all of FF with this game. I remember 'Storm' is like a thing from FF's past. Are they all linked, and how much? And is there a summary of the history that's actually consumable? Like, I'm not sure if it was explained in the start of ARR but I have been taking orders from Minfilia but no clue who she is/what she is, or what the calamaity is (okay they do allude to bits about this). And who is annoying little Alphinaud, and should I know him or he is just some random posh bossy twin?
3. My retainer use is basic. Currently just inventory expansions because I hoard thinking I might want stuff for other jobs. I'm not a money maker really but should they do be doing other important stuff for me?
4. And finally, if I were to switch to my level 3 marauder and do auto-equip, it will only look at my armour inventory right, and not the wider inventories I have. Are there any efficient systems people know of of how to sort of keep a few job type armours at diff levels in one bag/or circulating well? I found a caster robe in my inventory this morning that was 30ilvl higher than the one I had on becuase a crate had unpacked it there.

2- The FFs are not linked narratively, though FF14 has nods. In terms of the Calamity--if you need a basic recap, just watch the movie 'End of an Era' and it'll show you what it is.
3- You can unlock ventures using a quest, not sure off the top of my head. But look up 'ventures' and it will tell you how to unlock it.
4- It bases it on stats. So it'll value vitality and strength, and weight what you wear accordingly. It's not a perfect system, but that's how it works.

Yeah, people will get mad at tanks or healers if they perceive them to be doing things wrong.

For tanks, yeah, you're expected to pull at least two or three packs at a time, if not full w2w.

I am more confident now and usually going in stages and big pulling everything, unless the healer can't deal with that many, in which I respect.

As a tank, it can often be prudent to simply ask the healer at the beginning of the instance if they're comfortable with larger pulls.

As a healer main, I always appreciate the tank asking, because then I a.) have the option to say "no, my gear/kit at this level isn't up to it" or "yes, go ahead" and b.) it lets me get in the mindset of being prepared for big pulls and the tank potentially having their HP drop off fast.

Tbh, I know healing is literally - and tanking, too - the 2 big most essential roles in this game and I am so thankful the game keeps it that way. In other games cough TERA cough healers and tanks are useless for the most part, like 90% of the time in the entire content, because there are pots and buffs and stuff and everyone is speedrushing it and they play the same dps and acting like hotshots.

Don't think of BRD as a support class. They're dps with a few support features baked in. DNC is also a very simple dps class with support features if that's what you're interested in.

So for servers that lost their preferred status when 5.4 went live on December 8, you've got about two weeks left before the buff drops.

if everyone has no idea about the mechanics, you might wipe on the one thing you have to do to not wipe

I'm used to being a ranged caster, so with my baby warrrior lvl 3, having to actually get up close to a ladybird to kill it is literally new for me, and I think i'd be terrible having to]] be really movey
