- when the Gil cap pisses you off
- when you hit trial level cap

Yes. Because M2 has two parse components to it. You have the initial heal, then the regen.

hi all. you know you can buy the 'hero's story' or whatever it's called boosts on mogstation. how do they work? i have got my SCH, SMN, BLM, WHM up to 50 and am in the post-ARR bit. I have SAM at 50 but need to learn it, and BLU at 1 (but need to learn that). obviously if you boost, you still have to learn the playstyles, but I was just wondering what it gets you, and to where, and is it just a boost to the end of a class or of a job? sorry, bit jaded after days in post-ARR and would love to learn some non-magic roles but cannot face being level 1 again.

Buying the character boost will boost your class level for that specific job and set you up with a full set of level 70(?) gear to match the level 70 that you boost to. It doesn't boost your MSQ though, since that's a separate purchase.
It should say what you get in the item description on the mogstation.

Depends on how much of a hassle do you view msq to be. If you'd rather die than do post-ARR again, then yeah, a boost on an alt might be the best choice. Note though that FFXIV is pretty alt-unfriendly.

Yes. Poetics rings are stackable as of 5.4. But they obviously haven't updated the character boosts (or at least the descriptions).

PotD is not a good way to level compared to dungeons. It's only worth it if your dps queues are 15 minutes or longer on average. Otherwise leveling dungeons are vastly superior.

If you're still on free trial you won't have a place to buy sub time.
I think Steam also requires that you buy your sub time through the Steam portal?

Hey, just logged in today and my character is running REALLY slow. I've checked the auto run/walk toggle and both have no issue. It's not latency and I'm at 50-60fps even in crowded Limsa, and tested in non populated areas. Everyone's running twice/three times my speed at least and I've never had this issue before. Tried different gearsets and all, relogging, nothing works.

Once you buy the starter edition and the subscription starts going once it runs out you cannot play the game anymore until you buy another month of sub, if you stay in trial you can play however long you want but will have a lot of restrictions like the ability to make money by selling stuff and such

if you're OK with the trial limitations then by all means stay on the trial until you run out of story
the level cap is for ALL classes/jobs, not just your first one

you dont get limitations to experience gain tho, so you can level normally, i would reccomend at least getting one class to 60 before deciding if you want to buy, try some crafting and gathering too, is fun.

You could theoretically finish the MSQ to the end of Heavensward and level all jobs to 60 before buying the game.
