The entire teir can be comleted in full crafted fully melded gear. The Trial is like a side grade that can help with a bit of extra power. Trials are not married to raids. Tomes help you get BiS or a little extra oomph to help you clear

For miner, gather collectibles for the scrip exchange and custom delivery npcs. Goldsmith is a little harder because you need to craft collectibles, which will very likely require materials crafted by other crafting classes.
