Go to System Configuration and make sure that the control scheme is set to ABXY

Click on the controller icon when you open System Config

If it's not on ABXY but instead X Square Circle Triangle or that + touchpad, switch it to ABXY and then close FFXIV completely and relaunch it

Then go to the bottom of that settings list and calibrate your controller

but as with damage skills, there's always some variance between every cast and hit on each person, a "high" or "low" roll

potency is used in the damage/heal formula as a significant factor for people who do like 4d stat optimization math, but for the everyday player ptency is basically used to compare the "power" of skills within the job

DPS agains a boss (lvl 50 sync) depends on the jobs in the party? Or is it just because player skill? In coil T9 sometimes we skip some mechanichs because good dps makes us change phase faster, but other times, with other players using other jobs we do less dps

Remember that the difference between the "best" and "worst" jobs, assuming they're played with equivalent skill , isn't going to be huge.

I watch Boss HP when Nael starts using some attacks to see how good or bad dps is, IIRC sometimes when Lunar Dynamo starts being casted, we are at 70%, but days before with other members, we skip it because by the same time, we went under 65%

to have such a difference in the phase 1, there should be something to get better

also some jobs are better around lvl 50/60 as others, but that will change again when endwalker comes and the skills changes again. like a lvl 50 bard will probably do less dmg as a lvl 50 rdm but nothing you can do against it

I told them that, so they switched jobs, then we got 1 sam, 1 ast , they told me at lvl 50 sam has the best dps, and with buffs by ast its more, but then we started skipping mechanichs every few wipes, but not as frecuent as with the other party days ago

Dancer does a lot, since 1500 potency is broken that far down

SAM does not have most of its tools, so it loses a lot of dps at 50

dnc, rdm, nin do good dmg at that lvl but player skill is a big factor, same as crit/direct hits could also say a person with lvl50(ilvl130) gear and melds is better as another with shire gear that will be synced down

can attest to rdm doing ridiculous levels of dps at lvl 50. i don’t close my parser often so looking at CT alliance raids it’s mainly those aforementioned jobs at the top

Not all collectibles are for the scrip exchange. Some are for custom deliveries, some are for aetherial reduction.

@lilac flume doesn't matter if you world hopped. the important thing is being in a party to ensure you get max credit for the kills since a lone player vs a full group isn't going to generate enough enmity to get full credit

i would suggest also looking at PF since people do post them for the hunt

All of them can, actually.

Though the ones past thordan can really only be done with tanks and healers

@upper lake fastest method would be completing leve quests, either by crafting the requested items yourself or buying them off the marketboard.

Other fast methods include the Ishgard Restoration (needs patch 3.3 Story + level 20 crafters) and the Rowena’s House of Splendor collectables system (HW story started + level 50 and above)

Level 20 is super quick to reach, even without leves.

Just camp at your crafter’s guild and craft one of each item in the crafting log.
