however, most people will normally just do the MSQ all the way to the end before starting on anything else. but others will get bored and pick up some crafting and gathering to spice up the gameplay. ive also seen cases of people who enjoy crafting/gathering so much, they start to neglect the MSQ lol. TLDR: its entirely optional and completely up to you when/if you want to pick them up

both. theres 24 man raids (which are basically just big dungeons, they are casual content). and then normal difficulty (which doesnt show up til Heavensward). Savage difficulty is what most people consider "Raiding" in this game, and fights will take days/weeks to learn. most people will only do current content savage, so atm that will be the level 80 stuff.

Healers tend to have fewer outright damage spells, usually a single dot, a cast, and an AoE, but make up for it in the ability to simply keep themselves (and their NPCs) alive.
So while a healer might not be able to simply charge in and kill swarms of mobs, they are capable of completing non-dungeon content solo.

How it worked previously
Starter Edition: A Realm Reborn, 1-50 content
Shadowbringers: include the previous expansions, Heavensward, and Stormblood. 50-80 content
How it works now:
Starter Edition: A Realm Reborn + Heavensward, 1-60
Shadowbringers: include Stormblood, 60-80
All starter Edition gets a free upgrade, even if you bought it before the change mentioned above
