I had to go do fates in said hw zones to get more memories and finish it, so yeah.... I guess I recommend doing hw fates as well, its faster theres always people doing it

I'm a bit confused about how Desynthisis works these days. Is it that it doesn't matter if you have a lower level than the item, so the only thing that matters is if your Desynthesis level is higher than the item?

you can desynth everything

higher level means you get more/rarer items

Success is always guaranteed, you can desynth anything

well time isn't really the issue, money is, and it depends per desynth due to the prices of the items you're desynthing

for example alchemy is hot garbage to level and costs a fuckton

cause the only reliable stuff you can desynth are books

there's a few non book desynths at certain levels but mostly books

It used to be very difficult to level as you could only get significant desynth experience from items close to your current desynth level (higer level items could not be desynthed, and lower level items gave little to no exp)

meanwhile like GSM you can cap just running dungeons for your daillies, cause you get 1-2 accessory per run if you greed everything

Now you can just desynth anything higher than your current level.

Desynth can be leveled passively just from dungeon drops and things over time.

In the old system, certain level ranges for certain classes had very few viable items to use to level desynth.

even with the right items it used to be slower, now you get more points for a desynth on a higher level items(and it doesn't fail too, before you'd have like 20% chance to fail on the good skillup items), and you also don't need to use food+tinker's calm to level

if you're a tank I'd recommend equipping upgrades, if not just the weapons, and obviously equip dungeon gear you find that's better than shire

all dungeon gear is basically worthless, it's just GC seals or desynth mats, and you could desynth/GC your shire gear instead, and eventually the dungeon gear once you're done with it so no reason not to equip upgrades

'What is Glamour and how do I unlock it?'

Glamour is the process of changing an equipment's look into a different item with the use of Glamour Prisms. You can unlock the ability to glamour by doing the level 15 quests 'If I Had a Glamour' in Vesper Bay, West Thanalan. Although not required, you can unlock the ability to dye gear with the nearby quest 'Color Your World'. You can get the Orange Juice needed by talking to the nearby Merchant & Mender. Items used for glamouring are not lost upon use.

'How do I glamour? Where do I get more Prisms?'

Glamouring is done by right-clicking (Square or X on controllers) on the equipment you want to glamour and choosing the option 'Cast Glamour'. After clicking this you choose the item you want the appearance on the right half of the menu that opened up. You can get more Glamour Prisms by either crafting them after completing the quest 'Absolutely Glamourous', buying them from your Grand Company Quartermaster, or buying them from the marketboard.

i honestly don't remember if any ARR dungeons ever had guaranteed gear drops for your job

but that's not something that happens at all for HW and past that

just gotta roll the dice every time you open a chest

sites like gamerescape detail what each chest in each dungeon will drop, so if you're looking for specific gear you can aim for certain chests and avoid others

And uh not really a reason to go back to a base class

yeah, though the amount of skills you get at once can be overwhelming for a new player, if you're gonna go through the story anyways then you might as well start as a level 1 character and switch to samurai when you get to level 50, since the story gives a lot of experience

so listings on market board tend to be unrealistic in attempts to sell to lazy players

Is that theyre basically not needed until that attack becomes lethal

And shields become basically mandatory to lice

If people can survive a hit, then shields aren't needed and you can just heal uo

Depending on the strength of the shield, it may or may not change how you heal

So if the shield isn't needed then its a lost
