'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

Set "Transparent Lighting Quality" to Normal. And SSAO to Strong.

There is a visible difference with HBAO+ but it is *definitely& not worth the performance hit over Strong or Light.

The Transparent Lighting Quality option is just literally a frame eater.

Mounts, you can't. Gil, ask a very trusted friend to be intermediary, or transfer via a FC both your characters are in and where you can access the company chest.

I had major stuttering if I even hovered my mouse onto my 2nd monitor by having it set up that way

Plugging it into the GPU along with my main monitor sorted it out
