Hi! I wanted to start the free trial and saw that not all races are available. I made a Hrothgar in the benchmark program and decided to see what would happen if I tried to load it in anyway, and it told me I needed Shadowbringers.
Does this mean you have to buy the complete game (with Shadowbringers) and start the subscription to use the other races? Or could you just buy the complete game and still technically be on the free trial until you hit the level cap?
I understand you can play the game with an available race and then go on to use an in-game reward to change your character later, but I'm wondering what other options there are.
Any input is appreciated!

@vestal needle if you're not lower HP/you're missing a few people in stack then yeah you were probably in there when you should have been out. The numbers show up in order, first 1 shows up, then 2, then 3, with a small pause in between each just like how the mechanic resolves. So there's a bit of delay there if you have 2 or 3

The time it takes is random. It can sometimes be as short as a few hours, or it can even take 2 days or longer.
There’s no way to tell when a plot is buyable.
(The Devaluation timer is not related in any way to the plot becoming buyable)

If you try to decorate every room you tend to run a bit sparse on decoration density

Assuming you're playing DPS, most instances take anywhere from 5-15 minutes to find a queue. Especially since, as you're a DPS, you're pretty much always waiting on a tank or healer. Or both, if the queue is cruel.

strange question from a newer player just going through story still, as far as I can tell my ping is 'good' (No reason it shouldn't be, I have stable ping in everything else I play) but it seems anything I do as far as like...interacting with stuff like for quests/dialogue/etc has a really awkward laggy feel to it.

For example, I have one deck made up entirely of Garlean cards for Ascension rules, conforming to the deck limitations (one 4* or 5*, unlimited 3 * and under).
I have another made up of low-value 1 and 2* cards for Reverse.
NPCs will often have two rules used in combination as well, but never conflicting ones.
So you can get (for example) something like Ascension and Chaos as the rules.
Most of the time I use the recommended deck, since building a deck in the time allotted for preparation is not worth it. You can sort of steamroll through most NPC matches as long as you have a basic understanding of how the special rules for that match work.
Just be aware that NPC decks do not necessarily conform to the same rules that player decks have to, so you'll sometimes go up against an NPC with multiple 4* cards in their deck.

Yes. I personally recommend one combat and onme botanist/miner. Botanist if you're into crafting raid food/pots and glamour, miner if you're into gardening.
