upon opening the lvl 70 weapon coffer it says that it contains gear unequippable by your current class/job. but when i hover over it in my inventory it claims that the weapon type is determined by current job or class at time of opening. Why does it not work?

I don’t think it works like a scale, more of a binary “you’ll get it at a low rate”/“you’ll get it at a higher rate” once you’re over the listed amount

#

The slow and easy way of leveling up desynth is to greed on tons of dungeon equipment and to desynth all of it

#

Expansion Jobs and How to Unlock Them

Heavensward Expansion Jobs: Dark Knight (Tank), Astrologian (Healer), and Machinist (Ranged DPS). These jobs start at level 30 and require completion of the level 50 main scenario quest 'Before the Dawn'.
Quest Unlock Locations:
Dark Knight - Pillars(13,8).
Astrologian - Pillars(15,10).

You need to be on the same server, but as long as you meet that requirement, you can either search them up on the Lodestone and submit an application there, or find someone who is part of that FC and ask them for an invitation.

Hey uhh, I'm kind of new and the Novice Chat doesn't really help, at least for me. I'm going on a White Mage right now, just grabbed the WHM Soul Crystal, but my questions are:

I'm level 33, if I switch to CNJ or WHM the level stays the same, so I assumed WHM is basically the continuation of CNJ. Now, there are no WHM quests that I can find to actually advance through the class so I was wondering if they will appear or if I have to find them in specific places (Can't find locations on the internet either, and the quest information that I see doesn't say the level or more details, just that it's a quest for WHM).

Also, what Tank class would be recommendable for me to start? I want to start a Tank class together with the WHM to have some resistance for solo levelling, what should I go for?

WHM quests will appear in the top left of the screen underneath the MSQ every time you reach the level at which the next one unlocks, just like CNJ

You can pick up AST if you want. Aside from weapons, you can simply reuse the same gear you used while leveling SCH.

You could make a gear set swap macro with a Hotbar hide/show attached to it. Or have a unshared hotbar and put stuff on it on ome job and turn off unused slots, which will then hide that hotbar on other jobs since you have nothing on it
