so it's generally recommended to play out the trial first

TP has been removed. AoE to your heart's content. Tank aggro is much easier to manage now. It's basically impossible to lose aggro to another player unless you turn off stance for whatever reason (it's not necessary to turn it off anymore either). The rest is, yeah, the standard stuff.
