Hey guys! I play a lot of mabinogi and have decided to try ff14. im just having trouble figuring out what job to pick. i know u can change it later however. I see a lot of people suggest playing as an Arcanist, however i dont think my heart is in it as ive done a lot of healling in other games. Other jobs that interest me are Paladin and Dragoon. That’s something you can’t really give a universal answer to. Find out what content/difficulty of stuff people like running (like treasure maps, roulettes, extreme trials, unreal trials, savage Eden) and coordinate around that.

The majority of the cutscenes are from the second boss onwards in Praetorium. You'll get about six or seven 3-5 minute cutscenes in total between the last four bosses of the instance.

I would recommend progressing your MSQ first, as you'll also get access to a series of training instances called "The Hall of the Novice" at level 15 which will allow you to obtain a 4 piece left side set of gear appropriate for your job, as well as a ring.
