MSQ should give you most of the XP needed to stay on the required level, assuming you don't hop jobs
if you do, there are plenty ways to get more XP, of course

It's definitely easier than since release. Ex content is usually undersized when the ilvl starts getting synced down, but dungeons are easier too

you can skip a lot of mechanics, and survive more things that you previously might not have
