'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

But you can compare e8s and e9s and e8s is much more difficult than e9s for sure

But that's also to be expected. Generally the last raid in a tier is meant to be harder than the rest

So you're looking at a final raid and a beginning raid

How to get Dyeable Artifact Gear

A Realm Reborn i50/i55 set: Done in Mor Dhona by talking to Kakalan at x22, y6 after completing the quest 'Simply to Dye For' located at x22, y9. Augmenting a set of gear requires a total of 7 Augmentations matching the name of the set. Augmentations can be crafted or bought on the marketboard.

Heavensward i200 set: Bought directly with Centurio Seals in Ishgard at the Forgotten Knight by talking to Ardolain in the 'Exchange Centurio Seals (Advanced)' option.

Stormblood i290 set: Done in Eureka Anemos by exchanging Protean and Anemos Crystals with Gerolt to upgrade the set. Eureka is unlocked in Rhalgr's Reach with the quest 'And We Shall Call It Eureka' and is accessed in Kugane by talking to Rodney at x9, y14.

Shadowbringers i430 set: Obtained from Idealized coffers in the trial Memoria Misera (Extreme). They can also be bought with High Legatus Idols obtained from the trial in Mor Dhona by talking to C'intana.

I like PvP fine. Frontline is a bit braindead and it's just following the crowd. Rival Wings is great fun but it's only active on weekends.

It's easier in groups, but POTD is much easier for some classes. Don't be afraid to use your pommanders or grind your weapons higher.

Anything that has a self-heal is at a huge advantage in there, like RDM, PLD, WHM, and even WAR to some extent

Your gear gets replaced for POTD

You'll have what is called an "Aetherpool" weapon, which will sometimes level up from opening certain chests- Your armor follows the same rules

Samurai have a combo ability (that is unlocked right away due to starting at Lv 50) which drastically lowers downtime, and allows way more uptime. And SAM generally has the highest melee damage in the entire game

'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.
