But yeah, BLU is side content and an all-rounder. With Aetherial Mimicry and a sufficient spell library, they can perform relatively comfortably in any role.
RDM is basically a BLM that has a periodic melee rotation. They use their spells to build up power, then burst it into their three melee hits before flipping back out of melee, blowing things up for a second, then going back to building power to repeat the cycle.
