In a nutshell, you pick a project to craft and begin turning in materials. Once all that are required to make that stage are in, you can advance the craft to the next stage. Most workshop items have 3 stages to complete. And if you're talking an airship or sub you're looking it 4 pieces to complete one, each taking 3 stages so it ends up being a lot of materials
You may also notice a quality gauge as you turn in mats, the higher that is the more likely you are to get "Outstanding" or "Excellent" progress, which means the next stage will be partially done for you. This gauge is heavily RNG dependent but you can increase it more by turning in HQ materials (though I wouldn't be bending over backwards to do this, even 100% gauge fill doesn't guarantee any sort of special progress is made)
Once the project is done you can retrieve the piece. Also note that doing these things requires certain FC permissions so make sure if you're the leader you set up who you want to be able to operate the workshop

Oh also you'll need to be a certain level of crafter to turn in said materials, it should say on the little turn in window what is required (you get XP for it too though)

All battle classes are essentially identical. Pick one that you're high level at as your retainer can't outlevel you. The gathering jobs obviously allow you to gather the corresponding materials of that job. And there are certain items that are unique to certain jobs when it comes to Quick Ventures

Continue with the very next story quest and you’ll have enough GC seals to buy the riding license. The mount unlock quest is at your GCs headquarters and it’s called My Little Chocobo.

general tank tips are: use your defensive cooldowns when pulling trash mobs, and face enemies away from the party
also make sure you don't fight with the other tank for aggro and spin the boss

Note that any xp you get at capped level will be basically wasted
if your alts are at a high enough level, you could just swap to them before completing the quest to give them xp

You can play all jobs on one character. You only have to do the main quest once.

like say the MSQ quest is lvl 52 or whatever and you have an alt thats 52, you can do the quest as your BLM but feed the xp to your alt by swapping to it before finishing the quest

They augment the Bozjan gear to have haste, which basically acts like skill speed/spell speed in Bozja
Each point of haste reduces your GCD by 0.02
