they're generally just referred to as poetics, and the main source of them is duty roulettes and as a bonus reward for completing a dungeon/raid/trial for the first time

basically do your msq roulette over the past 2 or 3 days while you do patches 2.1-2.55 (cause you have 5 patches between the base game and the time the 1st expansion was release), go to mor dhona, buy yourself a set of augmented iron works gear, and that gear will put you at a comfortable ilv to go into the heavensward with @twin fog

you're gonna be following this same pattern for the following expansions, shire gear going into stormblood and scaven gear going into shadowbringers. they all cost the same amount of poetics

so always keep ontop of making sure you're getting enough poetics even after you get your ironworks set @twin fog

Direct hit is basically mini-crit.

A direct hit deals 25% more damage, and is more common than a crit.

Crits are generally rarer, but they deal 40% more damage at the very least, and this increases with more crit stat

Direct Hit stat only affects Direct Hit chance; the damage increase from a direct hit is fixed at 25% no matter what.

Critical Hit stat affects both the chance to crit, and the amount of damage increase that a crit provides.

Yes, a single attack can both crit+DH. Direct hit damage is shown with a slightly larger number than normal; crits are a bit larger with an exclamation mark, and direct+crit hits are even bigger with two exclamation marks.

Good is subjective, it's pretty interesting for me. No they don't intend on changing it. You can use party finder to organize BLU parties for skills and weeklies already with all the same options.

The job has titles and achievements with rewards, there's a solo challenge system (masked carnivale). Really it's just a different type of content to pass time

So if you do not like story, this game might not be for you

Well slow in the sense that the first few dungeons you unlock are very easy and forgiving to the player. XIV tries hard to be "Baby's first MMO"

Though that is a good thing in my book

hey guys, weird question regarding Eureka. I need 99 Anemos Crystals for the story quest but I stupidly traded them all away for Protean Crystals and I seem to be overleveld to drop Anemos from monsters (I'm 17, 15-19 are dropping Proteans only)...

Well the story in ARR (the lvl 1-50 content) is rather slow and personally I'd even call it bad (personal opinion mind you, I know plenty of people who like it)

But it improves A LOT once you hit the first expansion, Heavensward

which is lvl 50-60

'What is Glamour and how do I unlock it?'

Glamour is the process of changing an equipment's look into a different item with the use of Glamour Prisms. You can unlock the ability to glamour by doing the level 15 quests 'If I Had a Glamour' in Vesper Bay, West Thanalan. Although not required, you can unlock the ability to dye gear with the nearby quest 'Color Your World'. You can get the Orange Juice needed by talking to the nearby Merchant & Mender. Items used for glamouring are not lost upon use.

'How do I glamour? Where do I get more Prisms?'

Glamouring is done by right-clicking (Square or X on controllers) on the equipment you want to glamour and choosing the option 'Cast Glamour'. After clicking this you choose the item you want the appearance on the right half of the menu that opened up. You can get more Glamour Prisms by either crafting them after completing the quest 'Absolutely Glamourous', buying them from your Grand Company Quartermaster, or buying them from the marketboard.

Glamour Dresser FAQ

"What is the Glamour Dresser?"

The Glamour Dresser allows you to glamour an entire set of equipment at once when in a city or town. You can find the dresser in your inn room at any of the Adventurer's guilds.

"How do I use it?"

In order to use the Glamour Dresser you need to first put the items you want to use for glamour inside of it. This requires a one-time cost of one Glamour Prism per item. You're able to safely take out the items, but you'll need to pay another Glamour Prism to put it back into the Dresser. After you have put in the glamour items you want to use for your set you'll want to click on "Edit Glamour Plates".

When the plate window opens up you can select the stored glamours you have onto the slots of the plate to create the set you desire. Once you're satisfied with your glamour click on "Save". You can now apply your Glamour Plate by accessing the Character menu, clicking the Glamour Plate button, and choosing the Plate that you have made.

while I don't use gerforce experience myself, you could find an option in that app that can let you upgrade your drivers with a click

also check your email, Square Enix usually blocks accounts when they detect hardware changes, it's a security measure

you receive an email to unlock the account, so you can log again after you confirm you've changed/updated your hardware
