There's a few things ya can buy that'll be useful
Food - buy cheap food. Lots of it. I suggest orange juice or raisins. Normies use boiled eggs.
Ghyshal Greens - These are vendor stuff that's good to keep a hundred or so on hand
Dark Matter - Useful for repairing stuff once you;ve leveled crafters
Emperor's New Glams - Requires a level 15 crafter, but you can pick all of these up. Plus, stupid people buy them on MB for like 5x what the vendor sells them for once you buy the game.

I am having an issue with a quest
I am at the point in the game where I have to defeat a boulder before an NPC does except it is NOT letting me use ANY of my attacks!! They ALL give the following error message "action not learned yet"!!! The game synced me to level 34 but most of those attacks I learned before level 34!! My natural level is level 37! The game is supposed to just default to the lower level of the same attacks if I am synced below but it is NOT doing that!! I cannot use Bio, Miasma, or anything which are learned pretty early in the game!! I cannot even use ruin 1 or 2!!!
Does anybody know what the problem could be?
I asked on /r/FFXIV on Reddit but all I got were a bunch of downvotes like if my problem was not even valid or something
