For Yokai Fate as a free-trial solo, I do it on my healer (well, the only class I have now, lol):
-for quests that escort NPCs, wave of monsters will appear along the way. Just spam heal on the NPCs when they appear, so that you earn a lot of hate. Easy gold.
-for quests that require you kill a number of monsters, what you do need is not killing them. You only need to make sure you hit them once. Throw a fast spell (I use Aero) and change to other target immeditely, let the crowd kill the tagged monsters for you.
-for give-npc-the-loot quest, ignore monsters unless you can AoE. Just scrap whatever on the ground. 10 of them is enough for gold.
-for boss fate, give tank some heal occasionally (don't need to be in your party) while dealing damage.

The Grand company unlocks the squadrons to do dungeons with the squadron to level alt jobs and also access to a lot items you can buy and the hunt a very nice thing for getting aethertye ticket for free teleports and upgrades for gear mount/minions and so forth
