How do I unlock my job?

To unlock your class' job you need to be level 30, complete all of your class quests and the main scenario quest 'Sylph Management' (lvl 20 quest) to be able to pick up your job unlock quest. Heavensward i200 set: Bought directly with Centurio Seals in Ishgard at the Forgotten Knight by talking to Ardolain in the 'Exchange Centurio Seals (Advanced)' option.

Stormblood i290 set: Done in Eureka Anemos by exchanging Protean and Anemos Crystals with Gerolt to upgrade the set. Eureka is unlocked in Rhalgr's Reach with the quest 'And We Shall Call It Eureka' and is accessed in Kugane by talking to Rodney at x9, y14.

That's Rested experience, which is an extra source of bonus experience shared between all of your classes. 'How much of a boost is it?'

BLU is pretty OP for the content it can do, but it can't do current endgame content (level cap for them is 60) or queue up in the duty finder (must be done undersized or with a full group of people beforehand)

@waxen scaffold People really only talk in the main city-state zones or endgame game hubs. So for a new Trial player those would be Limsa Lominsa, Gridania, and Ul'Dah.

The main overworld zones don't see much talking in them for the most part.

As for when you can do dungeons with other players, that's at level 15 in the story.

Yeah, 1000 Needles only does 1000 damage.

The nails have more hp than that.

If you're doing it on EX, Dragon's Voice should cover the entire arena, then you can use some of the high-damage/short-cast time spells to clear out the ones in the middle that Dragon's Voice misses.
