Hi guys, I come from WoW and GW2, and I got to level 30 in FFXIV, but I skip all the cutscenes and quest dialogue like I always do in games. However, it's been really boring playing, and from what I googled, it said it's because the story is really the focus on the game, which I'm not used to. Do you think I should restart? Or is there a way to decently be caught up and still understand the story as well as if I didnt skip it?

@leaden ginkgo The first 30 levels of MSQ aren't really all that engaging. You can understand stuff more or less from context if you don't want to restart. And starting in 5.35 (in a month or so) they'll be adding ARR to NG+

@dusty mesa if you get a job to cap first you get an armour bonus which increases XP gain by x2. But there isnt a problem with trying some others out

Doesn't have to be cap, right? As long as any job is higher than the one you're leveling, you get the Armoury bonus

Graphics question. When looking at a tree or bush from a distance and walking forward, there is this "fuzzy" effect that happens with the leaves. Almost like looking at TV static. I think it is like how leaves move on a tree as you view it from different angles. its kind of annoying. is there a video setting that fixes this?

@twilit python Not moving is better as tank because melee DPS have to hit the mobs from different angles. If you're moving a lot if makes it harder for them for no reason. Of course, don't stand in bad zones though.
As melee DPS you can do whatever you want as long as you meet the positional requirements

Uhh, im lvl 56 as scholar and the last job quest i did was this one, since then i didn't got any notifications for new job quests or etc.. A few mins ago i checked the Actions and Traits thing and i noticed that i was missing 3 abilities so i went check on the wiki the location of the job quest but when i went there, there's no one there
