Keep in mind while you might clip every other one if you can’t weave it, those other assizes should still be properly weaved with dia. Meaning, over the course of the fight misalignemnt with dia creates much larger DPS loss potential if you're clipping to use it for custom timings.
Realistically, you won’t be making this consideration for EVERY assize use; it'll be a small few over a fight where it’s even a consideration. In that case the gain potential is bigger because you’re not sitting on it and losing use(s), and when used properly, you'll likely be clipping less and gaining that way.

@rare musk You can set an "in combat" and "out of combat" version of your HUD, but I'm not sure about "in party" and "out of party". If there is such a setting, you should be able to set it up in the HUD Settings dialogue box.

The recommendation to level all DoH/DoL at the same time is because they all share gear, so you end up with less armory clutter.

and if you have bought the game and don't have play time anymore, you're locked out of the game entirely. (Can't even go to character creation screen for some reason.)

You can do anything you want under the free trial restrictions, you just can't go past level 35 on any class. But you could level every single class available at that level to 35 if you wanted. It's unlimited. This will still apply to the free trial after it gets extended to 60 I'm sure

you cannot get above 35 currently, and you'll be locked at level 60 with the extended trial, free trial is infinite so you can play as much as you want with the restrictions

AST is definitely one of the more complicated ones...if you're levelling the normal way, i suggest you level as Conjurer/White Mage first, as it will make the process easier to adapt to.

Which weapons are better for endgame? The relics lvl 485 with 6 materia slots? Or the crystarium weapons lvl 490 (not upgraded) with 2 materia slots?

@upbeat raptor generally, for dungeons it doesn't matter too much which sect you run. Diurnal is generally more mana efficient than Nocturnal, but something you can do is start in nocturnal sect, put up aspected benefic for the barrier and then swap to diurnal before entering combat. For 8 mans, what sect you're in is going to be dedicated by your co-healer to a degree.
For white mage, you can go into either sect. Nocturnal is preferrable in higher end content since shields are often more important there, but in casual content diurnal is fine too.
For scholar, always being in diurnal.
For AST, you need to be in the opposite sect they are. So if they're diurnal, you should be nocturnal

Depends on your job, but for the most part, the 490 weapon will be sliiiightly better

@twilit arch thank you so much for the info! that makes a lot of sense for raids, im excited to havr more to worry about than hitting benefic. All of my healing experiences from years back are coming to me and it feels good in this game.

to explain why shield+shield doesn't work, while regen effects from Diurnal Sect do stack with WHM's regens, shield effects don't stack with SCH's actions
