#

And collectibles are pretty much what you're doing when you're not making stuff to sell/use as crafters

Mounts FAQ

'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly in the expansion zones. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

'What is Glamour and how do I unlock it?'

Glamour is the process of changing an equipment's look into a different item with the use of Glamour Prisms. You can unlock the ability to glamour by doing the level 15 quests 'If I Had a Glamour' in Vesper Bay, West Thanalan. Although not required, you can unlock the ability to dye gear with the nearby quest 'Color Your World'. You can get the Orange Juice needed by talking to the nearby Merchant & Mender. Items used for glamouring are not lost upon use.

'How do I glamour? Where do I get more Prisms?'

Glamouring is done by right-clicking (Square or X on controllers) on the equipment you want to glamour and choosing the option 'Cast Glamour'. After clicking this you choose the item you want the appearance on the right half of the menu that opened up. You can get more Glamour Prisms by either crafting them after completing the quest 'Absolutely Glamourous', buying them from your Grand Company Quartermaster, or buying them from the marketboard.

generally, recommend waiting until you're max level to work on them since msq gives you a decent chunk of gil to work with, plus you'll have a bunch of things already unlocked or able to be easily unlocked to make leveling them easier

its strongly recommended to level all of the crafters together so you don't flood your inventory with random gear and such. also the crafters kinda work together and share intermediate materials or make them for each other

#

the only crafter that doesn't really do that is culinarian, and to a less extent alchemist, which still does do a little with the other crafters

I pass tethers to the others by backing up, not running through the person supposed to take the tether, but back up for the other person to grab the tether and be safe from the explosion

In hells’ kier normal mode, specifically the “Phoenix says 2.0” there are 2 sets of 4 symbols that indicate the pattern regarding which corresponding symbol on the ground will get exploded, and also dependent on the movement of the Phoenix (clockwise, counter clockwise) can a symbol be blasted more than once in the whole cast of that ability?

'What is Glamour and how do I unlock it?'

Glamour is the process of changing an equipment's look into a different item with the use of Glamour Prisms. Tanks and healers are a lot more reliant on it for survival but the bonus damage for dps makes runs still a lot quicker

There are two kinds of hunting logs. One is personal, it doesn't really matter unless you're leveling an alt job and desperate for XP. The other is the grand company hunting log, which is optional, but required if you want to really progress in your grand company
