If you're on the same data centre at least, you can still visit each others' worlds

From the main menu, select "Data Centres" and pick the correct data centre that your friend is on.
Then on the character select screen, pick "create new character".
You can delete your old character from the character select screen of its own data centre by right-clicking on it and selecting "delete character".

Gladiator can only convert to the Paladin. Other classes will be able to convert into a job of their own.

You can play all jobs on one class.
Nothing locks you out of anything.
Classes that start at level 1 will advance to jobs at level 30. These jobs are simply continuations of the base classes with upgraded names and lore.
Expansion classes start as jobs right off the bat, and at a higher starting level.
No limitations.

Generally. What I do is on the start of the pull. target the boss and put your Glare/Stone on 1
and just slam that 1 key while keeping an eye on your feet (for aoes)

@lethal schooner normally, if you don't enter the house for 45 days, the house would be demolished and the plot put back up for sale. However, currently, the auto demolish timer has been disabled due to the pandemic. That said, finding a plot thats currently open and available for sale is going to be pretty hard because the auto demolish is turned off

In addition, because of the non-demolition, there is a lot of competition for any plot that comes up for sale during this time. The plot is able to be purchased by a new party only when a random timer expires after the plot is 'available for sale'. This means any interested parties will gather at the plot and button mash the 'purchase' button for anywhere from 30 minutes to 11+ hours just to have a chance at buying.

The cloves are a cooking ingredient, the carnations are used to craft a few housing items, and the Dimension Castle items and Gridanian bouquet are housing items on their own. The rest of what she sells are all soils and seeds for growing your own flowers in garden plots/flowerpots in player housing.

Nay, your best choice of action when getting rezzed is to do nothing. I am dead serious. You get a window of invincibility that protects you. Doing nothing keeps you sheltered long enough that your co healer may heal you up.
If they don't, they might not be paying attention as much as they should.....

But many players don't know that and they get KO'ed fast again because they wanted to attack almost directly, i call that greedy DPS.

Outside of just being able to go into content as any role the only other nice thing I can think of for leveling more than one class is that sometimes the dialogue in quests can change with what job you're playing/have levelled.

When you describe it like that yeah I guess Paladin. They do have a lot of just damage reduction buffs. Warrior has more just healing through damage, Dark Knight has a really meaty shield they can put on people that's really good actually

@wet crystal The BLU discords might have one, but the best way that I've found to solo level BLU is to simply go around collecting the non-instance-based spells with your chocobo companion to help do damage and keep you alive until you can earn the White Wind spell.

TimeWizud, you'll normally want to progress with on-level monsters, which you'll track and locate in ARR & HW expansions... but if you have a friend that can provide really big shields (like a level 80 scholar/astrologian) you can go around hitting high level mobs and let them kill the mobs for you, while you both are playing solo and not in a party. That is if you want to cheese levels.
If you're going the on-level route, there are guides on where to get specific spells, in which you'll need a certain amount to get new spells from an NPC
And yes, get your chocobo fighting with you

Bots are banned in regular waves. They’re not usually a very common sight, especially not to the degree that they’d actually be able to block view of a quest NPC

@midnight slate sending your retainers out on ventures awards them with exp. they can level as high as the max level of the job you have assigned them. after that, the pool of items and ventures you can send them out on is based on their ilvl (for combat) and gathering stat (for gatherers)
