Sheltron is one guaranteed block, but block is dependent on your block strength and usually hovers round 15-20% less damage

@solemn delta I may not be the best person to answer this, since I tend to take a more relaxed approach to alt leveling, but I personally just do my daily leveling roulettes (and any relevant hunt logs for the level range I'm at), and leave it at that.

If you're trying to speed level though, I think finding a tank or healer to queue with and spamming your highest level leveling dungeon is probably the most efficient.

you can buy replicas of the previous stages, the zodiac is the only one that requires you specifically to finish the relic weapon to buy replicas

@wild terrace The second boss uses a motion tracking debuff that knocks you up in the air and stuns you if you move before the debuff goes away. It sometimes does this just as it puts an AOE on you in order to trick you into moving early. The correct way to handle the mechanic is to wait for the debuff before exiting the AOE.

And the third boss has a look-away attack that stuns you if you fail to turn away. It could be that that's what was preventing you from moving.

Hard to say what if that's exactly what happened since I wasn't there to see it. But that's my theory

@fresh isle I’ve been playing from the UK on a US server, also cause a friend. Lag is a big problem for me, makes some dungeons/raids really hard. Also, you’ll be sleeping through the peak times (evenings) when NA plays, so you’ll end up being on your own more often than you think. But, it’s doable.

Started as mar/war, then got drk and went to 80s, got neo-ishgardian, I love tanking but I think I got a bit tired of that, tried machinist, really good but want something else, too. Tried thaumaturge and currently lvl 15, they told me it's the highest dps but it feels tricky for me with the fire/ice, and now I have a white mage lvl 45 and already got tired of healing due to how tough dungeons becoming after 40s as a healer.

I do know there are solutions (using VPN etc). If you find it’s a problem for you when you get into higher content you could look those up. I know a lot of people do play cross-server, just wanted to mention.

I've been wanting to give it a shot for a LONG while. However, in a small test that I did, the UI on the hotbar will stay in the normal Xbox controller layout, unlike how it looks on an Nintendo Pro Controller.

hmmm... didn't know there's guide for grinding alt jobs. btw, while I agree to most of it, there's one content that's always never available to me: current beast tribes. Usually per expansion release, I already cap all jobs before hitting x.1 patches, which usually where 1st beast tribe made available.
This begs one question tho: Is it worth to do tribe quest from 1 expansion below?

i can get below 100ms on few occasion, depending on which connection I'm using

open task manager, tab Performance, bottom window that says "Resource Monitor" to open it. On Network activity tab, look for ffxiv_dx11.exe (or ffxiv.exe for 32 bit) & beside it are ip address to your server.

@dapper echo As a rule of thumb, you should always go back to your trainer for class quests every 5 levels until level 50. After that, it drops to every 2-3 levels, and you'll need to keep going back when you get the "you have a new job quest available" text upon leveling up until level 70.

A minor note on that list: some of those are rewards from bluequest which unlock other content (raids, mostly) so you'll typically obtain them as a matter of course if you're doing all of those.

And the /embrace emote quest is the wedding quest, so you'll need to get married in game.
