They both do more damage than normal hits, but crits are stronger (I think direct hits are +25%, while crits start at +45-50% and go up with how much critical hit stat you have).

direct hits are like more common mini crits that don't work with healing. Increasing Direct Hit only increases rate you get them but crit increases crit chance and damage from crit

I don't have them assigned to anything but it appears there are separate keybinds for angular ascent and angular descent
which I supposed is ascending/descending while moving forward
if you just leave them unassigned and use spacebar for jump, that should work fine in the air

oh you know what, i figured it out. while in air, if you press move forward you'll fly straight. if you press angular ascend and then press or while pressing move forward, you'll move forward at an upward angle every time, so even when you stop and start again, like a toggle switch. and i found that if you press both mouse buttons to move forward again, it toggles that ascend off. so you start moving in a straight line instead of at an upward angle again.

and if you're pressing both mouse buttons to move forward and you press angular ascend, nothing happens because the mouse buttons are resetting it.

It no longer destroys your gear, just resets the spiritbond back to 1%

Also you need to make sure you buy the game license appropriate for your account’s region

So I use PC, and a friend got PS4, how do they access mogstation for like, to input a code if i got them a mount? do they connect their ps4 account to the mogstation website on a pc, or is there something built in on the ps4?

You can create an SQEX account on the PS4 too.
It is the Square Enix account that is linked to FF14.
When they created an SE account, they can link it to their PSN, that will auto-create the mogstation service account too.
(Mogstation is the place where things are bought and your service account is managed, also for PS4.)

Just link the PSN to FF14 once the game asks you to and the PS4 version of the game is registered on mogstation.
I do need to warn you, the PSN link is permanent, so double-check if the correct PSN is used when booting the gane for the first time.

The profitability of Fisher is pretty volatile; their main Gil sources are rare fish in the base game that desynthesize into glamour gear, fish used in endgame recipes, and rare ones that can displayed in the aquarium
There’s also selling fish used for leve turn-ins

Some fish are used in crafting recipes for mainly culinarian and alchemist, yes.
There’s also an ocean fishing voyage mini game where you can rack up points for achievements that give minions and mounts
