Also there's not many gil options at the low levels.
But something that should be semi-consistent profit regardless of crafter is making HQ Leve items to sell.

but at least on my server, raw mats sell for a bit more than what they craft into, but they dont seem to sell too often either

Hello, I recently started playing FFXIV as an Arcanist. I am currently focusing on just Msq's and the blue quest's with '+' icon. Thing is I am kinda overlevelled for the MsQ. (My level being 14 and the quests being 8-9).
My question is : Am I loosing exp in the long term? Should I consider leveling an alternate job too in the future to maintain the levels? Or it doesn't really matter that much?

An Alex raid made me use 4 for "g" for Gorilla

normal raid tier doesn't require voice comms but it helps for teaching it. the majority of mechanics either have visual tells (or a cast bar) or a learning phase where a simple version will be performed first, then the complex version later on

for savage yes you will want voice comms. NA/EU doesn't use placement macros like japanese players usually do so explaining in game usually takes a long time and can be easily misinterpeted

The EXP bonus is +100% for all classes until level 70, but in the grand scheme of things it's not that vital unless you see yourself having an interest in leveling up crafters

How to level alt:
- Roulette: leveling, MSQ, and alliance are the best in exp. Raid and trial are not bad. Ignore everything else.
- highest level dungeon (but not 50,60,70)
- POTD (up to lvl 60) or HoH (60 and up) if the first two choice has significantly worse queue time
Challenge log exp I think caps at lvl 50/60 so it is less and less useful as you climb higher

remember that roulettes are a once a day thing, you don't do them again after the first time of that day.
so leveling roulettes after the first one are a waste of time in terms of experience
(unless you get lucky enough to get the dungeon that's highest for your level or close to that)

It's debatable. The hoard drops can be good even at lower floors but the really lucrative stuff comes from 100+. If you're shooting for exp runs, then they can be safely skipped, imo.

and 5.4 will add the last set of crafted battle gear.
Crafted battle gear is typically added with each even patch as they're the ones that increase the ilvl roof

Yes, by paying for a Home World transfer on the mogstation.
Just be aware that switching to a region outside your own can have some pretty high ping issues
along with time zones making playing with others an issue

@pastel crow If you mean the shadowbringers relic, it's pretty simple. Just do the sidequest for it in Kugane at the markets (Hail to the Queen) and follow that for your first weapon which is free, follow up weapons for the first step are 1000 poetics each
Note that you need to have complete the Return to Ivalice 24-man storyline from Stormblood to start the relic, which also starts in Kugane.

There's also canvases to show off the "print" of a fish

Note that "BiS" for crafters very much depends on what you're wanting to make, as starred crafts have minimum stat requirements and you generally don't need to meld past those except for maxing out CP for the most part.

Poetics aren't used at level 80. The tomestones you use at 80 are Phantasmagoria and Allegory, earned from level 80 content.

So if you start at Floor 51, but wipe during floors 71-80, you would need to start over again to go past 100.
and if you wipe past 100, the save file cannot be used and you'll have to reset.

Word of warning, but if you intend to do 51-200 in a single sitting then give yourself a lot of free time. It can easily take multiple hours depending on how often you take breaks or how thorough you are in searching for hidden hoards past 100.
My 51-200 group run took about 8 or 9 hours with small breaks every 3 floor sets or so, but this was during HW so things are probably a good amount faster.

Note that Fixed party is when you don't queue with random players, it's when you have your group assembled outside.
Matched party is when you queue with random players, and cannot go past 100 at all.

@hard elk Also be aware that that icon by the enemy's name means that it's significantly stronger than a normal enemy. Anytime a quest sends you to kill something like that, they always give you a way to weaken it. Make sure you're using that Key Item.

if you rotate they should stay afloat, but if you move them they snap back
