i came from mostly pvp games so it's such a strange thing to me to ahve two damagew buffs but i've been testing it in game and the numbers are extremely inconsistent
basically hakaze -> jinpu -> aoes
versus just running in with fuga off the bat
by "worth" i mean is it worth spending extra time not doing aoe off cooldown to set up jinpu for a 10%(?) increase versus just hitting the aoes only
i put a question there becasue the amp seems to go from 1450-1520 or so but that's why i'm confused

I have a strange question/scenario but let me know what you guys think my best option is. So im new to the game, started a little less than a week ago. I leveled a paladin to 38 before deciding I wanted to skip ARR and get a job boost for a different job because I just want to get closer to the end game which is what I enjoy most about mmos, raiding etc. So im level 70 at the start of HW. Do you guys suggest I grab one of the jobs that start at 50, or even 60 to play while im going thru HW/SB? It sounds like you downloaded the Non-Steam launcher and not the steam one. Non-Steam and Steam versions aren't compatible so that's why it would be giving that error @random needle

Odin is on a long cooldown, I think it is 72 hours? People advertise in linkshell or just shout in cities

To access Heaven on High, you need to complete floor 1-50 of the PotD, access to The Ruby Sea and have a battle job at level 61 or higher.
You can start from PotD floor 51 when you complete the first 50 floors.
You can start from HoH Floor 21 when you complete the first 20 floors.
For PotD floors 101+, you need a fixed party with no wipes between floor 51-100.

Could it be hardware issue? With my old pc, some games crashed after loading later I found out that was because I didn't have enough ram.

go in the launcher and run the backup thinger from there, uninstall the game then go to Documents -> My Games -> Final Fantasy XIV and make sure everything is deleted from there
check if anything's in %appdata% too (i can't remember where that stuff is and at work atm)

@twin plank Others fixed it by turning off Fraps or any other recording software if you use it. 2, make sure all your drivers are up to date (that causes this issue to happen too) and 3. Make sure you are launching the game in DirectX11.

All joking aside @nova lantern , "fun" from a class perspective is going to vary from person to person. For instance, I find WHM and DNC fun, but a lot of people find both classes to be boring. Likewise I find BLM incredibly boring, but some people really enjoy it. I would recommend trying both DRK and GNB and seeing which you prefer.

Personally, I prefer to go through the MSQ with a single job (usually a tank or healer). I did level both a dps and a healer simultaneously on my most recent toon - using the dps for quests and the healer for instance queues, but found that I was hitting MSQ level caps more frequently that way.

and some that affect the condition, or some that affect the "yield" of other skills
so you mix and match and read the tooltips to see what does what and then press the skills you wanna press

You can ignore completely if you want> There are some nice ones but not a lot which stand out as "oh yeah that one you should absolutely do". 
You should always be doing except the "leves of XXX" and "so you want to be XXX". The former is for crafting and gathering pretty much and the latter is just unlocking other classes which isn't necessary. The reason you want to do the other is because they unlock things and a lot of those things are really nice and helpful Kazz

there is roleplay everywhere on crystal nowadays @uncut scroll but the nexuses are still Mateus and Balmung. since those servers are both congested for the moment though you can just roll up anywhere and world visit for events and things

For 2 I'd just recommend you go to a preferred world since that gives a really nice, long double xp boost up to level 70 (can be used on multiple classes)
If you're EU then I'd mention that Shiva is unofficial German server and Moogle unofficial French
For NA I guess it's worth mentioning the Crystal data center is unofficial RP
