Friend of mine made a free trial account some months ago and he forgot his password. Now he has an issue with recovering it. When he tries to reset password, it says the email adress is not associated with any account. When he tries to register with that same email, it says email is already taken.

sadly I'm having a really weird connection issue with the game over the last few days, and I'm really not sure what it is. I just seem to lag out in game for a few seconds, sometimes upwards of 40 seconds before everything suddenly comes back, but other times it's much shorter. I can use sprint or a heal, and the sometimes it'll take 5 seconds or so before I get the effect.
The weird thing is, even during these tests, I'm running a pinging script in the background to check for packet loss and ping variation to the server I'm connected to, and out of the 100 packets I sent, one per second, I never had any packetloss and the ping never varied more than 3ms. I'm really not sure what's going on :(

the same happens with mobs and people around me - they'll just freeze in place for a little while then suddenly update and jump to where they're meant to be, all while i'm apparently not losing packets out of game :c

For ilvl 210 HW Weapons like "Brionac" are the only two visual "upgrades" for them;

"Antiqued [weapon]" + Illuminati Gobdip exchange through NPC Seika = dyeable version

sorry to but back in between here, but I think my issue is because my sending / receiving in game drop to 0 for a few seconds. this time it finally lasted for long enough to cause a disconnect in game, yet out of game I was still pinging the server fine - so confused 😖

if u rly want better gear fast u can even get lvl60 ilvl255 gear from the npc so long u reached ishgard for a few, so u can use your poetics to gear alt jobs or get unidentifiable ore`s which u can exchange later for soils to sell @mint shale but u dont even need the npc gear msq throws enough gear at u for 1 job at last

When doing the first levequest, there was something like a treasure chest. I didn't get to open it before it disappeared. Did I miss something important? Are there other treasure chests in the world during other quests?

Sometimes treasure chests or special mobs will spawn during levequests. The chests can contain consumables (potions mostly) or occasionally pink-quality gear. If you miss them, it's not a huge deal.

You have to open them before completing the leve objective because they're tied to that.

@green grail I see. I got the realm reborn edition (free trial), but there are 3 other versions. 1 is the complete edition I mentioned. 2 is the online starter edition. And 3 is ffxiv shadowbringers.
Guessing 1 is the full package? 2 is just base game and 3 is dlc? So best thing I can do is just buy the full set?

Got 1 question about that tho, how is the progression? Do I go through an endless grind/questline first to access end game or can I jump right in?

If it's a situation where you are reasonably sure nobody is gonna die in the next minute, and it's not prog, it can be nice on WHM to buy an extra weave space, on SMN and SCH to turn a ruin 2 into a ruin 3 or broil. Of course the moment you use it for that someone will manage to find a way to die ablobblewobble

Doing the Shadowbringers is nice because the basic speed is so slow

At each previous level cap, there are 8-man easy raids and 24-man raids which are in roulettes.

#

Savage raids and extreme primals are not in roulettes—you should look to making party finder ads if you want to do those.

Info

"What is Glamour and how do I unlock it?"

Glamour is the process of changing an equipment's look into a different item with the use of Glamour Prisms. You can unlock the ability to glamour by doing the level 15 quests "If I Had a Glamour" in Vesper Bay, West Thanalan. Although not required to unlock Glamour, you can unlock the ability to dye gear with the nearby quest "Color Your World". You can get the Orange Juice needed by talking to the nearby Merchant & Mender and choosing "Purchase Items".

"How do I glamour? Where do I get more Prisms?"

Glamouring is done by right clicking (Square or X on controllers) on the equipment you want to have a different look and choosing the option "Cast Glamour". After clicking this you choose the item you want the appearance on the right half of the menu that opened up. You can get more Glamour Prisms by either crafting them after completing the quest "Absolutely Glamourous", buying them from your Grand Company Quartermaster, or by buying them from the marketboard.
