I give a little bit of a pass on something like that bc the margins on a Pentium are so tiny. Anyone actually buying one for a home PC is highly budget conscious, so it's actually not a bad thing to be able to upsell a performance boost for them later without having to replace the CPU and motherboard, etc.

ordinarily, you can use soapy water

but if you've never done it before I'd recommend using quick detailer, it's usually not more than $5-8 for a bottle

I feel like my GPU needs upgrading cause my task manager is sure showing that my gpu usage is at 99% while my cpu is at 50%

The CPU is 10 years old and that gen of AMD were known for notoriously poor single-threaded performance

I don't think even an AMD motherboard would take a ryzen CPU being that far back right?

Yeah I think you're stuck buying a new motherboard and ram bc that's a DDR3 board and they moved to DDR4 around 2014 so there isn't much room

honestly, it's worthwhile to just budget a cheap-ish new build to at least get to the year 2000+20

since you don't play anything demanding enough to need 4k/144 raytracing plus overhead

And they can always upgrade the GPU later

I'm a pragmatist: I want them to use better, but sometimes a budget is a budget and you gotta do the best you can within that. Sometimes I recommend they save for another month or two if the budget is really close to a good bump up
