So I tried out the game's free trial and I was a bit too broke to be able to afford the game + subs when I did. I do remember loving the game very much
Long story short I got some extra funds and I can afford it now

I tried buying the game but my account is listed under the US for what ever reason(Never used a VPN) and from what I gather off of Google I can't change my region? I can't buy the game because it's not letting me select my country/credit card...

This makes me really sad, is there any truth to what I read? Or is there a work-around this after all?

I have hundreds of hours of progress on my free-trial account and opening a new one is out of the question. I remember how painful the leveling experience is

No different than a CPU, they have spring loaded screws that thread into the retention bracket on the back so make sure you torque them on the corners first, only lightly tighten them until all 4 are snug and then tighten them again
