SATA3 spec is 600MB/sec but in real-world usage you won't break 550-575.

The more advanced version of this are the Optane drives where the cache is on the drive so there isn't the bottleneck

you know lets take a custom overclock, GN managed to get it to 250W with OC
so 250W, for the CPU
then a Nvidia 3080 ti, which is 360W stock, or if OCing you might get 410W which GN got
so thats 660W for the CPU and GFX card, which is the top end, if you OC both
add 100W for other components, depending on what you have installed, may need more
and ur around 800W for the whole PC
so for safety, with this "realistic" high-end , fully OC, build (i guess add a bit more if doing some funky custom ram timings/overvolting)
you prob get a 1000W PSU

yeah, problem is PSU quality, psus are soemthing which most builders dont really know how to properly select good reliable parts
the 80plus standard doesn't actually test a number of things which make a PSU good quality, and a bad PSU, of course can blow up on you
but can also take other components with it, or affect the lifespan of other components because of the bad quality of power being delivered to them
