I would say from a hardware and utility standpoint, PCs are more "open" but of course that comes at the expense of them having more security flaws as well

Linux are of course technically open from a software and hardware standpoint to the highest degree, but are kinda less flexible for that reason

Mac feels like you should use their hardware in only the way they intend and its meant to be a sealed black box if they could help it.

MacOS was built on darwin and has BSD roots, a lot of the OS (except for the GUI itself) is open source and Apple took advantage of that in a large way lol

I'm gonna have to disagree. Everyone is making fwd sedans. Lighter, simpler, more passenger legroom. And fuel economy (the biggest reason since lineups need to meet certain mpg standards). American sedans are dying because GM, Ford and Mopar can't make a good sedan, except the ones fleet (govt, taxi, rental, etc) use and there's a stigma behind that. Resale value is also terrible on them. Camry sales are up 5%. Would you rather have a Camry or a Fusion with 150k on it?
Rwd is an enthusiast thing. Most people don't care about burnouts, being faster in the corners, etc. because they're driving to work and getting groceries.
I used to be in the camp of "I'll never own a fwd because I'm a real car person."
Then I bought a 2013 MKZ fwd. Plenty of power, handled well enough, plenty of leg and trunk room. And I didn't need to worry about getting stuck in the soft wet grass in my driveway.

But also I'll never buy another fomoco product again. 118 years of automaking and they still can't keep their premium vehicles from rusting.

My doors were rusting on the seams. My buddy's '17 Continental (in '20) had the same issue.

I probably won't own another American vehicle in the near future either. I have an 07 Escalade now and it's been good to me so far except the fuse box is a common problem (mine lost communication either the tcm and put me in limp mode). Also somehow they still made vehicles that get barely over 10mpg at that time.
Id love to own a newer Tahoe/Suburban but the 8-speed transmission is such a huge flop. Cylinder deactivation still causes issues. Lifter tick after 3 years.

Etc.

Camry has a better resale value for sure. With maintenance they'll last quite long.

Hello tech people! I umm...I hope it's ok to ask this but I'd like some advice. I've often been pretty paranoid about certain kinds of anti-cheat engines in some games.

I don't cheat, but often heard those programs do more harm then good....but do they? How worried do I have to be about GameGuard? xigncode3 ? and others like them?

Are they really gonna steal all my info and wreck my OS or am I just being led astray but a nothing burger?

No they wont just destroy your PC or steal all your data, but it is true that some of them can cause problems, especially the cheap ones like xigncode.

However those problems aren't that common, otherwise the games using them wouldn't have a playerbase still

the biggest issue is the total lack of transparancy about what data they collect and how it is processed
