trying to pick up a pretty solid daily driver for gaming & uni for <$1500 but all the gaming laptops are genuinely hideous

actually i managed to find a really good one on HP's website w/ a ryzen ai hx375 & rtx 5060. i assume it isn't worth the extra $200 to upgrade from 16gb ram to 32gb, even if ddr5

you can get 48gb (2x24) for $103 with some basic work (a little more if you dno't have the tools needed to open the system with bits and/or pry tool)

Like sometimes to go back I have to swipe from the left edge but it doesn’t always work and not with every app.
Sometimes I can close whatever media I see by swiping up or down but not always and not on every app, sometimes I have to tap the X.
Sometimes the phone remembers my last swipe when browsing and makes it easier to repeat it, so I end up trying to swipe to scroll down but it keeps repeating the swipe to the right instead because I didn’t wait a millisecond longer for it to forget.
And tapping things in general is still so weird. I notice this especially when doing wordle or whatever. The phone keeps double tapping letters instead of tapping the one next to it. I also often have to aim my fingers slightly below a button to hit it, otherwise it doesn’t register. Especially noticeable when trying to hit small X to close something

Display port was meant replace HDMI. At the highest tier of video signals display port is almost always necessary.

However HDMI stuck around for compatibility reasons

And it's cheaper

Generally display port supports more bandwidth

It also may be required for things like gsync on some systems depending on the standard of HDMI cable you're using or not
