My honest opinion is to always do fresh installs on new PCs

You're replacing you're motherboard too so I'd especially do a fresh install to make sure Windows installs everything properly when it does its system hardware scans which are most effective on fresh installs

What I did was since I updated to a new drive as well, I took my old boot drive and just made it a secondary drive so I could still access the files

If you're on the same drive move anything important off of it and do a fresh install of windows to wipe the drive
