You can back up your old drive to an external before swapping the drive out
Also you need the OS installation from Sony’s site and not just the firmware
So make sure you have a flash drive with the file on it
I don’t remember if PS4s can read NTFS or if you’re restricted to FAT32
Standard PS4s use a SATA II inferface while PS4 Pros use SATA III
PS4 Pros are off the production line so it really shouldn’t matter if you use a SATA II or III drive
But keep in mind that it won’t be able to use the drive to the fullest
