The one I built that computer for about 15 months or so ago, (I gave them my old Radeon 5600 XT as I was upgrading.) Was playing FFXIV when they got hit with a blank grey screen.

Doing Ctrl Alt Delete made the sound to bring up the menu but the screen was still blank.

She did a hard power off via the button and turned it back on. When powered back on, her screen resolution was messed up. (Super zoomed in.) And now games run at single digit frames.

You can disable the windows update service in Task Manager to get around the whole "pause for x amount of weeks". But this will shut you out of all windows updates including the security and Windows Defender updates, which usually don't break things and help keep your device a bit safer. All depends what your appetite for risk is. There are ways to ignore those big feature updates while still getting the security updates with registry tweaks, but I wouldn't recommend you mess with registry unless you know what you are doing.

Dang...and their computer is straight up useless when that update is downloaded. We uninstalled it through the boot menu and they have updates paused, so at least there's that. Hopefully we can just keep it paused until Microsoft does something about it
