first impressions:
-Damn heavy. It is a 2kg full-metal keyboard with no numpad. My older keyboard is only 1.2 kg with top metal plate and a full-size.
-Color is pretty. I choose Navy blue cuz it reminds me of my fox grill
-Sound feels good. I'm new to Chinese brands of mech keyboards and already love the sound of thick thock by stock setting. The mech key comes with an extra alum plate (its stock uses a FR4 plate) and extra foam. Modding it sound interesting when the options are available
-RGB button hides under the caplocks keycap. Kinda ass to enable/turn it off
-I buy it cuz I don't really use the numpad, though I have plans to buy an extra numpad to put it on the left for macro and gaming. Never realize I frequently uses the Num Enter so kinda missing it already. But it is just a matter to get used with what you don't have. At least, I don't have to push my mouse away anymore cuz free real estate 😄

The steam deck is one of the less powerful handhelds but the OLED has the best/most consistently good battery life and nicest display out of the others too

not having touched a handheld at all, my opinion is that the steam deck is an entire 'platform' like buying a nintendo switch. valve develops steam and puts a lot of time/money into proton to support playing games on linux (steamOS?)

the other handhelds are just generic windows machines

while the windows machines will play anything, the support for the bundled software and gaming interfaces and stuff will probably be extremely minimal since those companies are just selling you a generic windows machine

so it's a tradeoff, one you may prefer the windows handheld for anyway

(I recall someone here specifically buying an asus ally because it ran windows)
