Someone working north here doesn’t care if they’re paid £15 an hour but here that’s a pretty low amount

Most of the US is very similar outside of boom states

Or boom cities

California, New York, Utah, Colorado

Utah and Colorado are an anomaly by a massive margin

Both don’t have as high of population densities nor land usage as California or New York but are extremely similar in pricing

Colorado has insane disparity between average income and house prices

Cause all the expensive areas in Colorado are away from jobs, retirement and work from home type communities

That being said, for like 2/3rds of the states in the US, 24 an hour is a living wage

Even here in Utah it’s a living wage if you just get a studio or two bedroom apartment

I know this cause IBM and EBay allow hybrid workers in Colorado so a few family members who work for both are only in the office every other week and usually only for a few hours so they’re fine buying the 2 million dollar house an hour away

I refuse to work a sales position unless I’m doing whole sale so lol

I’m not working with scammers and liars in a normal parts sales position

We have it happen here all the time, shops lie about getting a damaged part and then when we tell them they have to return it they change their story

It’s absurd that these shops don’t run a tight enough shift to simply not have money

Super small shops it makes even less sense cause the margins are insane

One of the local restoration shops is 2 guys and their cars regularly go for 100k-700k

They make bank

And to continue further on this, restoration shops absolutely kill

Some of the largest restoration shops in the country are making 70% margin on their cars

Small ones like the one I’m talking about make around 80-90%

They sold an R33 GT-R N1 for around 400k cause it had 10,000 miles and they bought it for 30k cause the engine wouldn’t crank and they restored it for around 20k?
