I see fake Z06's so much smh
they list a vette and say its got an LS1 which isnt wrong, but the Z06 version is the LS6
its just a hopped up LS1
afaik
its kinda crazy how the base C6 was steel chassis and the Z06 was fully aluminum
I wonder how much that cost to produce
For the 1998 model year, the Camaro received a facelift and now had a new front clip. This replaced the quartet of square inset headlights. Replacing the LT1 engine was the all-new 5.7 L (346 cuin) LS1 V8 engine introduced a year prior in the 1997 Corvette, generating 350 hp (261 kW) at the flywheel but marketed as 310 hp (231 kW) in the Camaro as to not deter sales from the Corvette.
350hp vs 225
think the choice is pretty obvious
thankfully ford fixed it eventually
its funny cause the Camaro still just couldnt sell as well as the Mustang
nope, and because they were back in some random plant in quebec that was no where near any other GM plant it was hard to make a profit
plus working on those 4th gen camaros is a pain in the ass
will probably buy a V6 1LE when I can find one
the engine sits so far back behind the axle
like a 3rd of the engine sits under the glass lmao
catfish camaro
the non refresh IMO looks way better
also imagine buying a C6 Z06 and not knowing it drives as well as it does on fucking LEAF SPRINGS
yeah
And it's for sale!

the W body cars used that too
I think these were the best looking corvettes
you just have to take the heads off and get proper valve seats for them if you get the LS7
though most have already had that job done by now
two car solution. Dodge Viper 8.4 liter and a C6 Z06
C6 as the grocery getter the Viper for going 200mph into a median
oh wait its 7.0
holy
oh he goes over the valve issue in the video
I watched an interview on some corvette engineers and they said they spent over a year trying to replicate the valves dropping and couldnt find anything so who knows seems like a fairly widespread issue though you probably have to rev the shit out of it
I think the red line on the LS7 was what, 7000 RPM?
pretty high for a push rod
yuh
its probably people bouncing the limiter and then power shifting
so they go into full power next gear as soon as the clutch hits
reading this lmao Peak output is 505 bhp (512 PS; 377 kW) at 6300 rpm (72.0 BHP/L) and 470 lb⋅ft (637 N⋅m) of torque at 4800 rpm with a 7000 rpm redline.[65] During GM's reliability testing of this engine in its prototype phase, the LS7 was remarked to have been repeatedly tested to be 8000 rpm capable, although power was not recorded at that rpm level, because of the constraints of the camshaft's hydraulic lifters and the intake manifold ability to flow required air at that engine speed.
8000 RPM
yes
8400 for the BMW V8 in the E9X M3
my car does 8000
the funny Lime Rock edition M3
the 2000's were like peak enthusiest car era I think
cars werent as complicated to diagnose and work on and you could get insane cars for a reasonable price
like new a Z06 was a lot, new an m3 was a lot
but even a few years after they were new they were half the MSRP and usually were well maintained
Z06's especially are cheap as fuck
can get a C5 or C6 for under 30k
you can get a manual E60 M5 for like under 25k now, and then the only thing you have to do for the car to not shit itself is replace the rodbearings if they havent been replaced yet
and they only sold the E60 M5 manual in the US and Canada
1500~ so cars
This video features a video compilation dedicated to the legendary BMW M5 V10. Although the M5 E60 is already a few years on the market, it's still looking good. The exhaust sounds coming from the S85 5.0 N/A V10 is just phenomenal. In the past years, I have filmed many of them on the road. So I've decited to make a video compilation of the bes...
still crazy that AMD has been competing with Intel with a handicap
the problem with the camaro was the whole
hyping it up for like 5 years before actually selling the fucking thing
the only thing worse was the VW bus
which they hyped AROUND THE SAME TIME and they're only now getting around to selling lmao

correction. starting at
yea it's funny but the thought that crossed my mind watching the mkbhd review as
i'd totally buy one if it had a gas engine option
to be fair, adding aggressive branch prediction to a cpu is like... chrysler making a quad turbo engine
Are coiled cables the new way to exploit people or are they actually useful for something more than just being coiled?
LOL
They can cover longer distances but when u don’t need them to they aren’t all over the place bc they’ll coil back up
They’re actually useful
I wish my current headphones had a coiled cable
when I was a kid we had a home phone that used a coiled cable between the handset and the base
I always found it kinda obnoxious
Not as obnoxious as a long ass cable that piles up all over the floor bc u only need 1/3 of the length
definitely like this one xD
yea but the thing is
a 6ft coiled cable is as good as a like 4' regular cable maybe
and it ends up pulling real hard and being way heavier for the length
not to mention that kinda bouncy feeling
It’s still way better
but what's the point of a coiled keyboard cable
Same thing
the funny thing is loooong ago they did make keyboards with coiled cables!!!
hell the infamous model M had it!
Coiled cables tangle less and are less messy bc they coil up on the desk
I'm just seeing some insane prices for coiled cables.
Glorious is brave enough to charge $50 for it.
That’s mainly bc expensive cables tend to be coiled ones not bc coiled cables are also inherently expensive
so I can see one use case for a coiled keyboard cable
and that's the one where you often want to pull back the keyboard off your desk or whatever while using it
U don’t understand how good they are until you’ve rolled over ur headphone cable with ur chair 7 times
Even if u don’t pull it back the coiled one will stay tidy more than a regular cable
I mean u say they’re useless but ignore their actual uses
I'll try one just for my fight stick then see from there. None of these crazy $50 ones though..
No cable is worth $50
yea i agree
$20 cables are fine
usb-if certified 3.2 cables that can do 40gbps or whatever cost like $10 for a basic ass rubber cable but uh
yeaaa especially for a keyboard
And $10 shitty ones are fine
But like
U only rly need one or 2 so just spend a bit more on a nice one
Are you looking at Amazon or another site at that cooler master one?
brand
press the forza key
and what does the Xbox key get you
phil spencer to come into your room and talk about growth for the brand
What about your Ford ones?
I know it’s on your most prized keyboard You keep hidden away.
if you press that one it will dissolve a game studio
nah that’s the excuse vio keeps making for simping
chevy weeb your chevy bootie or something
Lmao
Get that industrial air impact revved up and neutral drop it on the nut
Blow that fucker to the moon
How come all the brands became mostly bad now
Audi used to be cool and had good cars like the R8 and TT
Kinda want a 8J TTS
the ystill have the tt
well u can buy one atl
rs3 is still cool
i think theyre cooler than the TTRS was anyway
RS3 is a sedan = kinda cringe
TTRS is a coupe so awesome
I don’t like the compact sport sedan segment
They cost as much as older full luxury sport sedans like M5’s and E63 AMG’s and aren’t as punchy as those cars
If I was gonna buy a new car might as well buy the less “practical” one
Like an F10 M5 with the twin turbo V8 is like 25k USD for a very good example, 40-50k if you want a BMW Individual color, super low miles, and a manual with every option
Cause based US and we get manual M5’s
hi
i can assure u they are as punchy
the rs3 has the 400hp 5 cylinder and does 0-60 in 3.5 seconds
also sounds pretty good
plus newer and nicer interior
they cost 50k but still
can get a 2017 for about 30
same formula
same chassis as the TTRS
same engine too
but more practical and interesting imo
TTRS Is 100kg lighter
The 5 cylinder is good sounding it’s just the RS3 doesn’t look that good imo
Plus it’s less practical than a car that goes full coupe with big trunk
I’ve sat in the back of an RS3
It’s shit
what's so cringe about it
other than it having a cute little trunk
Just compact sedan
Less room in the front for people and then the rear seats won’t ever be used
Might as well be a coupe
admittedly the a3 is a bit small to be a sedan lol
Every person I know who owns an M5 to be “practical” has never had somebody in the rear seats and only uses the trunk for golf bags
Think of how much u can fit in the back with seats down tho in the avant
lol idk what to say
Tbf tho
I do think that the estate car is infinitely cooler than any coupe
I would buy an M5, RWD 500+hp sedan
I am not a car nerd
The regular sedan is more boring
I am not. I am not qualified.
- I don't care about BMWs, 2. I think hatchbacks and wagons are overrated, 3. I hate the color brown on cars
400hp rs3 that weighs like 500kg less u say is bad
like

why buy a wagon when SUVs exist
especially now when wagons get the same plastic cladding and junk anyway hafl the time
Weight and also lower usually
This is why companies keep making SUVs and ruining everything
No one appreciates estates
M5 Touring is slammed to the floor with a full wagon body usually
They’re smaller for the same practicality
Which is unreal
And less dangerous for pedestrians lol

i am being an idiot 😄
Most SUVs fit 5
Most SUV’s are only two row
CX-9 is a 3 row and my grandma is the only person I know who uses it often lmao
And the CX-9 is small for a 3 row
I have a small ass car that realistically is 4 seats not 5 and can still get 5 people somewhere
aye i thought about getting a cx90 for a bit for family car duty and would actually have a use case for that stupid 3rd row
If you want a three row with full trunk space you need an Escalade which is absurd
The pedestrian killer 3000
Escalade owners are compensating for something
Yuh
Get a minivan
they just want 3 full size rows
CX-9’s are cheap
I do get a good laugh out of this too like'
to this day i see a lot on reddit and facebook
"I want a 7 seater. NO MINIVANS"
and i'm thinking you need a minivan
Minivans would actually be better for most people than the SUVs
yea and no?
Most people should NOT be driving a car as big as they do on the road
like an escalade has a v8 and a proper rwd transmission with a transfer case
Genuinely dangerous how badly some people with huge cars drive
a minivan has a stupid transverse v6 with fwd
Why is this a necessity for ur family vehicle
and a transaxle made out of hopes and dreams
that tends to explode if you have a lead foot and constantly carry a bunch of people and things
People just want the biggest thing and come up with reasons to justify it to themselves
lol
Why yes let’s put a 686hp V8 in an SUV
The V12 Q5
Is better
Or Q7
Whichever
It was
@sly elk you should trade in the jeep for the W12 Continental you found :)
BUT I NEED MY JEEP WRANGLER
no the only acceptable suv is
Does 0-60 in 4.5 seconds
With the v12
this thing 😄
People don’t need big cars but they buy them anyway
I am kidding ofc
And it just causes more road damage than before
everyone hates the dodge journey so if that was their only choice for an suv they wouldn't buy an suv
tbh if i wanted a little suv i'd g with a porsche macan 😉
it's cheap and small and
not hideous i guess
aalso how do you explain these
2 door pedestrian killer suvs
Panamera is probably as usable but smaller I’d prefer one of those
Or the taycan wagon is cool
i think 185" vs 197"-ish?
They’re the same size but macan is a lot taller
panamera is not 185" lol
And a lot heavier
It’s longer
but ignoring costs (the suvs are usually cheaper)
i'd take the fucking panamera any day of the week
no question lmao
i still think about getting a like 2015 panamera
Cayenne is ugly and too big
Cayenne Turbo GT being quicker around a track than most purpose built bespoke sports cars is amusing
Id get the civic type R if I was paying that much for a car actually
i saw one for sale locally for 22k lol
Be in ur M4 coupe and get thrashed by a Cayenne
FK8 type R best family car
The Type R would be cooler if Honda didn’t cheat on their lap records
driver is sipping a pumpkin spice latte and scrolling instagram too
It’s still a great track car
So is the FK2
Which is a lot cheaper
meh
my favorite japanese car atm is probably the supra. sorry. x_X
i realize how dumb it is to say that LMAO
'my favorite japanese car is actually german'
I just wish it wasn’t FWD
Understeer sucks!
I’d rather have a car that tries to kill me instead of one that kills me by not being able to turn
The duelling Porsche 911s of Ambrogio Perfetti and Mark Bates were locked in a vicious battle during the Ronnie Hoare Trophy at Members' Meeting. #76MM
No they work
Stupid mindset to have that all fwd cars will be boring and just work
It’s just after driving both FWD and RWD cars at the limit you see why it’s so important
Everyone who’s driven modern type Rs will tell u they’re just as fun
Yea they’re fun I’ve driven them
rwd isn’t inherently more fun
The type R is more fun than basically everything at the price point
can get an o ld type R for 20k less
They don’t have those in the US
So
We have Si’s but we never got the first Type R’s, only the last two generations iirc?
it was only the SI for the last 3
And both the last two generation type R’s are being scalped still
Cause everybody wants them
the rsx is also way cheaper than the integra here tho
u cant get an integra for less than like 15k lmao
The new integra is consistently cheaper than the Type R but you don’t get the bucket seats which for me is whatever
Ye
its not that fast but its like 30k not 50k
In the US the Integra Type S is slightly more than the Type R but you do get an actually nice interior
Which is worth imo
It’s the same car basically tho
its not been out as long anyway
i think the v6 accord is the best honda under like 15k used
before they started doing the hybrid i4
I like how it looks more than the new type R
i like both
i think id own the integra tho just bc its nicer inside
and i do not go to a track anyway
FK8 looks better imo
the FL5 isnt as nice
i prefer the interior of the fk8 as well
Yea I just can’t get behind Honda
They used to make cars that stood out for every aspect of what they were now they do not
Infotainment is bad and requires an aftermarket thing to offload some of the software that you don’t use so the RAM doesn’t get eaten
In this case they should have told hardware to just dump ram onto it like nuclear missiles lmao
“It’s got really bad memory leaks just triple the RAM”
to me the sideways engine in typic transverse fwd drive me nuts aesthetically
also fwd car proportions
I’m weird and don’t care about any of this stuff rly
i like long front fenders
I just like a nice quality interior that doesn’t creak and fall apart and a good engine lol
so... you want a honda?
i think lexus would be more the kinda car for you
idk how acura is these days but the 2000s interiors did not hold up well
It’s unfortunately an issue in a lot of cool cars
and nor did the paint
Like the Lexus LFA? That had the first implement of the dogshit touch pad thing they had
and from anecdotal experience with my friends, honda brakes are always fussy and needing pad changes
So the LFA has a single clutch race transmission and dangerous as hell infotainment that you have to use to even control the AC
If I could afford a Lexus as new as the type R probably
But I cannot afford an RC F or FK8 type R
One of the most knife edge super cars ever built having the worst infotainment is amusing to me
Many such cases
how about a regular ass IS or RC?
It’s not as bad as the LFA tho
Not as fun as the type R
I might get an evo 6 once insurance is affordable on it
I’ve seen a few under 15k here
admittedly that uconnect/mygig radio wasn't the most user friendly either
It’s not that nice inside but it’s interesting and fun
LFA is a car created for going fast in endurance racing, then turned into a road car. It’s temperament is that of a full on race car so it wants to kill you at any second
EVO’s are like peak UK car
EVO police cars
like tbh those sporty car companies would get my respect by just tossing a bog standard alpine double din in there
And they cost 16k
No
huh
It’s 2 generations ago
oh
FL5 is new one
FK8 is before
FK2 is before that
We don’t talk about the one before the fk2
Yes
They’re cheap here
Saw one for 10k
High mileage
But still
Stick a Sony stereo with CarPlay in it and im good
Based
The 6 is the best looking one tho
Or the 3
Maybe the 5 but it’s so close to the 6 it doesn’t matter
The new cars are actually more terrifying tho
The new V60 they get
Yeah but the regular stuff out on the road
V60s are faster than most of the regular traffic out here
UK police has true unmarked cars
In the US it’s usually just unmarked Police Interceptors although now some police departments are starting to use seized cars
That’s why you see all the Hellcats and Demons in Texas
There are a few M cars as well
The problem with US using regular cars as unmarked is they drive cars that NO ONE else owns anyway
So it’s obvious
In the UK they’re cars everyone has already
So people won’t notice it as much
Like you’d think you could outrun a Demon but the Demon is designed to go 200mph and then to a full stop over and over and over and over again. most cars fall apart under a sustained chase
Yeah
I watched an IS-F blow all four tires in a chase without them needing to use a spike strip lol
That’s not surprising
In the UK there’s less straight roads
UK B roads
That and London is a maze which is where you see most of the dumb chases
Idk why’d anybody would try to run from cops in London in a car
True
In some parts it’s doable
In central that’s impossible
Yea it’s doable but I’m sure you have a significant number of the available police in London on your ass
I can’t outrun shit with 140hp anyway
Plus UK has actual funny helicopters now iirc
I forget the model of the helicopter but it’s the fastest one in production period
300mph top speed in a helicopter so even on highways you can’t out run it
Not like a Demon can in the US
The only police I see where I live is the van trying to catch me speeding going down the giant hill
I have to have my foot on the brakes for 5 mins bc it’s a downhill 30mph
Lmao
Genuinely awful
If I get caught doing 34 in a 30 one day bc of the hill I’m gonna lose my shit
It almost happened last week
And then after the hill it’s a 40mph with a roundabout every 10 metres
If I get caught speeding it would be impressive
I don’t have the ability to get to above 40 fast enough to speed significantly lmao
Nooooo Jason Cammisa sold his Supercharged federal Elise with the cool license plate
Shit sold literally same day it was listed
Aka today
Tbf it’s fairly famous
Been in lots of magazines and on the Hagerty YouTube channel
In this episode, automotive journalist Jason Cammisa walks us through the difficult birth and runaway success of the Lotus Elise, both Series 1 and Series 2.
The Lotus Elise isn't just lightweight — it weighed HALF as much as some contemporary "lightweight" sports cars (like the Porsche Boxster). That's because it was constructed like no other...
Looks like people are praising the hell out of Antec's Flux cases
Even if they're going for $125 for the regular Flux and $180 for the Pro
https://youtube.com/shorts/htoHMo7cmfU?si=ai7KS4U60itW6s-C @deep sapphire ya know as cool as these pistons are, they wouldnt exist if people didnt use big fat heavy duty diesel trucks as daily drivers
10dB sound difference is insane tho
it is a cool thing for say charged air systems like on the 6.7
totally not a cop
reduced exhaust temp means less engine bay heat soak
we have undercover elantras and camry's here now
salt lake has an Elantra N that looks like a base Elantra its weird af
im thinking it was seized
also totally not undercover
lmao
apparently you can always tell a cop car explorer because they don't have the roof rack rails
honestly the US Police Interceptor market is peak
and only the cop spec ones don't
the only way to get an AWD V8 Charger is a police interceptor surplus car
idk I think that us police interceptors are part of the culture problem in the US
like most other countries
like you go to the UK and they drive these
and they wear hi-vis safety uniforms
well the guys in the Volvo V60's usually are military trained armed response forces
out here it's more like
lmao
ROIDED UP URBAN ASSAULT VEHICLE
COME OUT IN ARMOR AND GUNS
WE KICK ASS AND ASK QUESTIONS LATER
the difference between other countries is that they have way more specialized police forces
and have much better quick response
normal police do minor civil stuff
armed police do anything extreme
and the armed police are military trained
like fucking GIGN
GIGN is a militarized force that does police stuff lmao
meanwhile our cops are afraid of acorns lol
i'm sure there's still some decent dudes, i met a few even
but yea whatever lol
i do think it's a bit of a culture issue
SWAT is called swat cause special weapons and tactics, they arent training with US SOCOM like how French and British police train with their special forces
I will say SWAT is generally good people
like i think unless there's an actual armed thing happening in progress they should just send out officer wiggum driving a hi-vis prius
cause they end up responding to even mild stuff
lmao so real
same with most traffic stops
idk why they dont use compacts in big cities
maybe have cops in pairs lmao
NY Police with the cool tricycles
a mustang and a prius
if they don't stop to the prius then the mustang pulls out
and it becomes a much more expensive experience
sometimes they try
sometimes they do, even
oh also GIGN is WAY cooler than SWAT cause they have the
funny
MR73 Sniper Revolver
the heck
this exists cause of french cities and they needed a precision firearm to use inside large public buildings like train stations
and inside government buildings
it is a .44 so it has A LOT of stopping power
also considering nobody is getting anything over level 4 body armor in europe unless you have access to government contracts its not an obsolete thing
they still have these apparently
but yea
I dont think police should be using SUV's or like muscle cars either lmao
both are heavy and cant keep up with anything actually agile
top speed only matters on the highway, anybody who knows the roads they're on is going to lose you if you are stuck in an Explorer
US has a very old mindset towards car chases, almost like the 80's are still with us
oh and most departments wont spend the money on the new wheel grabbers and stuff despite it being extremely useful
idfk why cali isnt stocking up on them it would cut most chases in half
steelseries or corsair for mouse?
I haven’t heard of many good things about Corsair mice but that was years ago
Steelseries seems better from what I can gather though
but people also prefer Logitech if you’re considering that
Oh man I'm really eyeing an Antec Flux Pro
But do I want to spend $180
but logitech plan subscription for their mouse
https://www.theverge.com/2024/8/6/24214857/logitech-subscription-mouse-decoder-podcast-hanneke-faber
not happening
Article aside, that's a nice looking mouse
Probably not something I'd use for gaming
Looks like iron
finally got the CPU cooler in and I've got to say. Its an improvement alright
Yeah I have a bit of mixed but mostly positive feelings about Thermalright
Like they're good for the cooling component market but they also oversaturate it by flooding the market with near-identical products
Basically they're insane
To be fair though, they are owned by a factory
interesting lmao
samsung says third party chargers can cause their paints to flake off
Moral of the story: don't use Samsung
Fold5 user here, my paint is already flaked off
prob extensive gaming sessions, WuWa and Love n Deepspace, likely
thirdparty charger my arse
advice i’ve been following for at least 15 years
Razer on top
Bc Corsair don’t make the MMO mouse anymore
MMO mouse and left pad are so hard to find mannnn
even if I'm not gaming I'd like it for productivity
Logitech really should refresh the G600
Razer naga is good but mine died 4 times in like 2 years. I went with the aerox 9 from steel series. And I am pretty happy with it. Both are good choices but the razer had died too many times.
My friends had a naga for idk how many years now after their Corsair one broke
At least like 5 years
The steelseries one is good but I think the design is less comfortable
Ergonomically razer have the best mice still out of anyone imo
I might be unlucky, but mine had the side buttons die like 4x other then that I felt like it was a great mouse
Logitech and steelseries the coating they use on their stuff feels cheap compared to razer and the old Corsair one
Mostly Logitech
Yep, depends a little. I have pretty small hands, an I like how light the Aerox is. All personal preference for the most part
I have small hands but I’ve been using the basilisk for ages bc of how I hold it as well
Thats fair.
One of the leds in my steelseries keyboard stopped working properly too
I used to like their stuff but have been getting more annoyed with it as time goes on
I have been using wooting 60h never going back to any other keyboard
I was gonna build the one I actually want as my next one but was waiting until I’d bought other stuff
It’s just annoying that now any white RGB on my keyboard looks yellow on one key
Wish we got more than 1 year warranty on $150+ products
Pog, for most electronics we have a minimum of 2 year warranty here.
EU perk mannn
Yeah, it is pretty nice, I had my mouse die a few times. My Samsung g9 all broke within warranty. the g9 was like 1.2k when I purchased it and blew up only 14 months after buying it.
imagine having EU benefits
i live in europe and dotn have them
getting 1 year warranty on $1k phones with optional $200 extra warranty is criminal
I think this is literally criminal. As far as I was aware EU countries mandate a minimum of 2 years warranty
i live in england
Rather countries that are part of the European Union
Ah, I see. The uk is also technically not a part of the European Union anymore
yeah we dont get longer warranties
i just get 1 year
we have stuff for returns but not an actual warranty
Why I'll never buy another k70, owned 4 and each one had an LED fail within a year. Roccat keebs been a lot better
i wouldnt buy any premade gamer ones anymore tbh
especially ones that arent hotswappable
I got the G502 Hero edition, I love it so much
well SE Hero Edition
no fucking idea what the SE stands for
I want the league SG g502 but it’s like $90
China only collab
I just bought the razer one instead bc it was $35
Holy shit my coworker...
I ask for a 5min Teams call to explain things and he insists on only typing in DMs, but he's incapable of reading comprehension so he's mad at me or explaining things that aren't relevant.
I had to literally write: "For the third time in the last 20 minutes: So and so closed the ticket out, not me."
He's mad at me for not including baselines in the documentation and says hey I made some for you yesterday etc...
...And yet our logging for some of the hosts has been busted for a week, so I have no idea where he gets magical data in the baselines that doesn't exist.
They're not fit for purpose if they're fucking missing data...
omg I don't even know what to say... I said a certain ticket is waiting on X thing... and he jumps on me with the implication that I'm literally sitting here doing nothing for days on end until I get that...
Like... why would you ever think that? Every day for my job is about juggling like a dozen tickets at once in various states of progress as you wait on people to respond, certain things to happen etc. and you move between them as people get back to you etc.
So now I wasted an hour typing in chat to him for lack of a 5min VC. Time to actually get some work done finally yay
Sorry, needed to rant.
TECHNOLOGY
It's IT-related problems /s
Buy it, use it, break it, fix it, change it, mail, upgrade it
Every problem is an IT problem these days it feels like.
i just got another g502 :3
the millennium falcon g502x wireless hehehe
the g502 is my favorite mouse
i haven't had any issues with the LEDs in mine but the keycaps that corsair keyboards came with are CRAP
the stems get all loose and then they just fly off
My rk87 (forget the exact model but condensed with numpad) had a logic board failure (LEDs would light up if I shorted their inputs to supply voltage but wouldn't work right otherwise) and then the middle section of Keys died <.> So hotswap didn't help me there lol
Yeah I experienced that too
I'm giving my g502 hero se to my mum
Switched to the roccat Kone xp; 2 extra thumb buttons vs the g502, and the shift button (g shift / easy-shift) is in a better spot ergonomically. Don't gotta press it in, just shift your thumb downward (it's a sort of broad flap below the thumb rest)
Now I'm trying to decide which MMO mouse to go with
G600 is like unavailable, so I got options of razer (has unlocking scroll wheel and is inexpensive but ya know, razer) , Corsair (horrendous software, more expensive, I don't like them as a company and also my k70 experiences) and offbrand options
What is actually wrong with razer
They make the best mice u can buy and some good mics
only have anecdotes, and frankly theyre not even that bad compared to how bad corsair's software is and how bad my experience with their QC has been
Razer consistently have the best mice atm from a lot of reviewers and more importantly customers
Their stuff feels higher quality than most of the competition rn
corsair software has been fine for me
the only issue I have with it is sometimes stuff doesn't show up that should show up
it's hard to pin down why that happens
if there's one thing I don't like about corsair it's the thin af wiring their fans come with
it's actually a safety hazard
Razer has stepped up their game significantly in the QC department
you have to carefully unfold the cables that come with corsair fans and make sure they don't get kinked when you do cable management
because if you don't, the kinks will probably break the wires
and I've seen at least a couple of amazon reviews where someone had hardware damage due to said wire issues
amazing
corsair is such a pathetic company
in the early 2010s they were the company to trust for quality products
best memory, best power supplies, great cases you name it
and stuff like this
yea they're currently in the evga phase
the quality isn't the greatest but they'll still happily rma it
I dunno my take on that (and this goes for anything) a good warranty is nice but if the shit isnt made right in the first place that doesnt make me feel good
word
some of milwaukee's QC has gone down the toilet after covid and sure they have a 5 year warranty but like come on man
some people need their tools every day, they cant make money without one
but i do have a lot of corsair stuff and have only had 2 issues out of dozens of devices
and with battery platforms locking you in basically what do you, you arent gonna sit around for 2 weeks waiting for it come back you're gonna go back to home depot and buy another one
one was 10 years ago I bought an h80i cooler and the sp120 fans it came with, the seal on one of the liquid bearings broke and sprayed the lubricant around my computer
the other was some ram that I used the xmp overclock and one of the sticks died after about 6 months
also actually, h110i where the LEDs burned out and I had them replace it around the 4.5 year mark LOL
but they made me pay for shipping it to like fucking georgia
buy a battery adapter off amazon?
or idk
suck it up and have 2 differnt kinds of batteries? XD
sell the old ones on fb or ebay or craigslist?
they dont work well with milwaukee batteries
Now they just have the best power supply
that sucks
That’s it
because the circuitry is in the batteries not the tool
lol maybe i should return my milwaukee stuff since I still can
so if you overload the current protection or drain the battery too far you can brick them
The AX1600i is still the best thing u can buy now Evga makes it hard to get the T2
your shit is probably fine im not jynxing you they are still a good brand its just kinda annoying
There’s some good ones
T2 is known for being basicallly the best PSU u can buy tho
when i was having issues with my 3080ti being crashy I told them I had a 750 g3 and the 3080ti and was having issues
and they suggested 3 things
U can probably buy a used T2 and it’ll be fine for another 10 years
when I tried 2 of the software suggestions and let them know it was still sketchy
they suggested the PSU was dodgy
they did not offer to set up an RMA for the PSU
tbh it's good they don't make gpus anymore because I don't haev to worry about buying an evga anything anymore 😄
i wonder if superflower made the t2
heh next time i might pull inspiration from hank and buy a PNY gpu
they've been making oem and random retail GPUs for pretty much forever
If u want a good psu now it’s superflower, Corsair, NZXT, or Thermaltake
For the best ones
that said their reputation with their ssds wasn't the greatest
The XPG ones are also ok
ahh thermaltake is a brand i haven't heard much about in a while
They make a good psu
But it’s normally not that cheap
i really liked super flower but the reason I am hesitant to ever buy one from them when i can get a corsair is the whole warranty support thing
corsair doesn't promise it
U can get decent PSUs from basically every company now
but from watching reddit posts and maybe even my own experience
if you use a corsair thing and it fucks up your other hardware
you can usually bully corsair into replacing it all
I bought some PSU from micro center's house brand cause it was the only one they had that had native 12vhp or w/e support
But so are Corsair ones
Current RM and HXi ones
and corsair usually sells decent PSUs
And NZXT have the C series which is just rebranded seasonic stuff still I think
at least going by the psu tier list LOL
Corsair and evga I think theoretically had the best warranties
I trust companies that have a solid US presence more
much more than the taiwanese companies that have like a random office in city of industry with like 2 people
and that I promise is not a knock against taiwanese people
after all most of the shit is made there EVEN WHEN you buy it from an 'american brand'
Basically every major hardware company being Taiwanese
yep
and even corsair and evga were the thinnest of thinnest 'american' veneer over a taiwanese company lmao
when you look at their jobs page
and it's like
Yeah
(35 jobs found) - social media person (texas or california)
-expands worldwide-
(165 jobs found) _ process engineer (taiwan)
but also it's kidna obnoxious to buy from those brands sometimes
because it's like buying TOMS sneakers
you buy one, and they donate one to a twitch streamer
but my favorite thing about super flower is their logo
and their design language with that logo is fucking hilarious
I bought the HX1000i for like £90 like idgaf if I hate Corsair at that price
I have no loyalty I’m too broke for that shit
TOUGH ARMY GUY
gentle butterfly logo
Corsair still prices their PSUs badly
straight up metal butterfly yo
HARDCORE MILITARY TACTICAL BUTTERFLY PSU
not as funny as Shark Technology power supplies though
truth in advertising
ahahhaha it's on the psu sticker too lmao
the only thing better than shark PSUs is the aliexpress ones where they check off which wattage with a sharpie
I don't think anyone knows anymore what each feature of Twitter is supposed to do
this is apparently an issue that has existed for at least two years
hopefully they scroll out of your life
why that would be wasteful
It's been 3 months since I posted anything here. So here's some massive updates! Switched from a gaming laptop to a gaming desktop, created a raised desk/dresser for my dresser (I have absolutely no room to move to get a desk.) I got an XLR mic, an XLR hub, and a 1440p 165hz 32" monitor.
My knees hurt just looking at this picture 🤣 but ya gotta make do I guess 👍
I sit when gaming lol
I would still need a gaming chair
the only thing missing is a ham radio setup
Right, but desks usually have an alcove for your legs to fit under...
No worries I got room to sit. I'm no giant person, I'm quite small lol
is it just MHW or does it happen in other games
today is the first time it happend, but while navigating with opera I did get a a similiar effect to the top right part when switching tabs in the past
also it is only on the intro screen here
id reinstall the driver first, see if that fixes it.
!faq ddu
Step 1: Download Device Driver Uninstaller.
Step 2: Download the newest driver from your graphics card manufacturers website: AMD and/or Nvidia.
Step 3: Disconnect your internet and restart your PC in safe mode.
Step 4: Run Device Driver Uninstaller and click on 'Clean and Restart' after you select your device type and GPU.
Step 5: After the PC restarts and you are disconnected from the internet, install the drivers you downloaded from Step 2.
Step 6: After you install them, restart your PC one final time and reconnect your internet.
Kk, I'll try and report
oh man I haven't seen a setup with that styling in at least a year
both the 3d plastic wall panels AND the nanoleafs
didn't they know the meta became striped wood coverings and plants?
man those wood panels are incredibly expensive
Alright, it got fixed for now
awesome
keep in mind that nuking your drivers and any remnants isn't a silver bullet though
50% of Mac owners have that setup still
Only people still doing it

There are very few options for new affordable sports cars on the market today, and first in the conversation is often the Subaru BRZ / GR86. But if you look to the used market, m...
C6 is a vette so it’s just got the engine and transmission
As a whole it’s not the best, C5 Z06 is even cheaper and I think it handles better from what I’ve read
The Cayman is the ultimate touring car out of the three and the Z4M is just an actual full on sports car, it’s not made to be for everyone, it’s made for only those who’d want a knife edge analog sports car
No room for a desk? But you have a VR headset?
I mean I think there’s actually better cars that are below 30k than all 3 but yeah
Eh
If you want bad examples
If you want a cheaper cayman it’s going to need an engine rebuild which makes it more expensive than the slightly pricier one
The C05 has less power but is a simpler car
The E46 M3 is just worse than the Z4M for high performance driving
There is the Miata but that’s slow
350Z is slow also cause despite having a decent amount of power and being light, it’s got a bad transmission and rear axle design which causes a lot of drive train loss
You could get a newer M5 in decent condition (F10) but that’s just an American pricing thing, outside the US they’re pretty expensive
370z nismo is under 30k
Nah they’re like <20k here for earlier ones as well
F10 is fairly modern
Also the pre 2014 ones have massive engine issues
Rod bearing eating engines and the turbos explode
My uncle bought the F10 for 40k years ago
You have to get a 2014 or post F10
Like 2017
Only ones with the revised engine and turbos
They’re like 20k for 2016 ones now
370z nismo is 15-20
20k is like 25k usd
It’s not bad lol
(Nissan makes a good sports car it’s just they’ve never done powertrains good outside the Skyline)
So the drive train is never actually exciting
It’s still a good sports car for below 30k
They missed the part of the car design that matters a lot, how exciting the engine is
Yea but there’s also V8 muscle cars and German autobahn cruisers for that money
Should I pull the trigger on a razer naga v2 hyperspeed
And?
No shit u can buy a load of different stuff for the money
Compared to the American and euro cars I’ve driven, the Z’s just aren’t the same kind of car
Currently went g502>roccat Kone xp but need moar buttons
If u want a sports car even the GT86 is cheap with better aftermarket than most cars
Or either of the other 2
S2k is cheap as hell too
If ur willing to use the rest of the money on aftermarket upgrades there’s loads of stuff well below 30k u could buy instead
I just think the 3 cars in the video generally aren’t what I’d spend 30 grand on in any context
Z’s costing as much as V8 M3’s is crazy
Z owners are the corvette owners of the JDM world
Different cars
The Z is still more of a sports car than that v8 m3
What is insane is the regular skylines costing that much
Any car marketed with sport car in its name is available for being compared to other cars, and yes the E9X M3 is a different car, an actual sports car
I’ve driven all of these cars, and E92 M3 is completely unhinged
What
Both 2 door, both market as sports cars
Both with the “performance” engine
RWD, LSD’s
Both market as sports cars but u urself have made a point of stuff that’s designed as a sports car first vs not
The Z is designed more as a sports car than the m3
Yes and guess what, the E90 M3 has a different chassis than the 3 series
No it doesn’t
Same platform
The m3 is still just based on a 3 series
The new ones are actually closer to bespoke sports cars
E90 isn’t
The Z is a proper sports car the M3 is just a sports sedan still
Yes
Like I’m gonna pull this card
But a Z is not a sports car. It’s a touring car. It uses a non bespoke engine to save money
This is peak Nissan downfall car
The engine is not the most important part
If it was the m3 would be better
But it’s not
It is half of a sports car!
It’s why a lot of sports cars fail, they get the good driving down but there’s nothing interesting with the driveline
I think ur definitions change depending on what car ur discussing anyway
It’s why the Cayman is not expensive
U change ur opinions to suit whatever u think is better
U have gone from chassis more important to no engine means more bc it’s different cars
lol
U change ur mind based on what car ur discussing
Both are important
You can have a great car with a bespoke chassis and a normal off the shelf engine, see AMG
Yes but u prioritise whichever one ur favourite car has in the comparison
There’s no consistency to what u say about them
The Z is a way better sports car than the M3
I just don’t agree with you having driven both of them
Would I prefer to drive a Z every day over the M3 probably not
The M3 is rough, firm, and has a fantastic engine
The Z is not those things
M3 is memorable
Idk feels like ur just biased towards specific cars lol
The M3 is not that amazing
Neither is the Z
But it’s still a better sports car
Especially the nismo one
Better brakes, suspension and slightly more power
M3 is a performance car but not a sports car
Like most of the performance sedans in existence are
Stationary boundary.
It's the Quest 2. So I have that option. I use it sitting down.
@deep sapphire dad the kids are fighting over bullshit semantics again
waffle moment
some people just love to argue for no reason
"YOU ARE WRONG AND I AM RIGHT"
As if u all don’t do the same thing regularly
Can’t have an argument with one person
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7vM6NUGq4Q this is technology in a nutshell
George Wood spittin fax
dw I think christian is dumb too for engaging
fucking gaming in the clinton years
holy shit
core memory unlocked
also to add to that
the 400Z or w/e they call it is nobody's car because nissan dealers wont sell them to anyone!

ffs
Lmao so true
Also the base car isn’t that good for the price
Actually most cars are too expensive!
I hope nissan goes out of business
Like why would I buy a Mustang Dark Horse when there is a plethora of better sports cars at the same price
they've done nothing but poison society but giving deadbeats altimas who just go around without insurance ruining innocent people's lives
The BMW M240i is the actual new Supra of this era
Can get a safe 200hp out of a stock fuckin engine
The XDrive version is a rocket ship and cause XDrive is cool it can split 100% of the power to the rear
Also XDrive isn’t that power limited cause it’s so overbuilt
Worse cars than Hyundai we live in a strange world
Nissan is infamous for ruining their brand image by giving anyone a car and then they just dont care and drive like assholes
you see these street takeovers or w/e
400z is stupid the platform is way too old to be reusing
you ALWAYS see a fuckin infiniti lmao
It would be a cool car if it wasn’t also overpriced
Nissan has no money so im not surprised
The nismo one is also just like
the dealers are starting to panic
