Latest rumors ( yes rumors, take it with a grain of salt ) is that the ringbus cache connection is degrading prematurely and is the culprit.

If you want to mitigate itm, I'd try slowing down the ringbus speed and re-enabling everything else.

If the crashes don't come back, you just hit the jackpot ( and please post about it / reply here, if I had your CPU I would certainly try ). If they do you can always disable everything again and go back to waiting.```

I am not absolving them of blame but at the end of the day its still intel's chip and intel's chipset and they should have had documentation to these vendors that showed it was degrading chips faster.

That also doesnt explain why these are failing at alarming rates on basic workstation/server boards which dont even support overclocking most of the time

some are better than others but most of the dells I have use a kinda grainy coating

i have one of the older LG 34" ones (34um94) and it has a nicer antiglare coating

It’s slightly more grainy than some but it’s also WAY better if u actually need an anti glare coating compared to other brands

I’ll take that slightly more grainy look to have basically no reflections in a room with a ton of sunlight

Grainy but does the job is better than less grainy but still reflective bc at that point might as well be glossy

I admit I lust for a pro display xdr and the glossy glass screen

Glossy looks great in a dark room but like I am no longer a 15 year old sweaty gamer and I do want light in my room

Which then renders glossy displays unusable

So I feel like matte is just the better option unless ur only using the display in a entertainment room with controller lighting all the time

Or like glossy TVs bc they get super bright they tend to be ok

I would visit a store like best buy or micro center and demo some of the monitors on display and see if you like any

if you buy it off amazon or something you can just easily return it, I did that once with a shitty LCD monitor I bought

Sceptre is an ok budget brand although there's very little usable information other than the specs sheet (ghosting/good overdrive setting? grey to grey rate? colour accuracy?)

Gtg is the time a monitor takes to go from one shade of grey to another

Used to measure response times and they are using grey because it's faster than measuring black to white for example and I guess thus looks better in the spec sheets

Which is why it's not something you can seriously rely on alone

if i put say, a video on top of FFXIV, a running game, i notice that right at the edge of the window

It "cuts" into the video? like a soft yet perceivable 'offset' in the rendering

What that is?

Well its not a Plugin specific issue, its like

i play FFXIV on a windowed resolution

And say, if i have another window layered on top where say, the Edge of the gameis in the middle of the window
Like a browser or, a window plugin, and scroll

That window "tears" a bit

Like the game render is f+cking a bit with the "Scrolling" Render

In the end, this is not like an actual issue
more just a wonder on What THAT is ;D
