#

Bilstein is still cheaper than BC racing stuff

#

Tbf

#

My springs are eibach German company

deep sapphire
#

Multimatic are the most expensive ones I've seen, dont think I've heard of BC Racing

hazy frost
#

BC is similar priced to bilstein it’s like 10% more

#

Idk how much they make for suspension

#

They make springs and coil overs atl

deep sapphire
#

these things are like 1000 dollars a shock its ridiculous lmao

hazy frost
#

Lmao

#

4 would cost more than my car

#

I just realised I have 3 different tyre brands on my car as well

#

I thought they matched until today

deep sapphire
#

rofl

#

nice

hazy frost
#

Still cba to replace them

deep sapphire
#

"just one tire please"

hazy frost
#

When I get those new wheels (never) I’ll buy new tyres

#

I’ve been saying that for a year

deep sapphire
#

just kick the side of em and go "mmhmm thats a tire" and then go about your day

hazy frost
#

I don’t drive enough for it to be bad yet

#

It’s alright

#

It was just funny like who tf replaced 3 tyres and didn’t just do 4 of the same

#

I really need something better for cleaning in my wheels without it taking 3 years

#

I can’t get my hands in all of the gaps properly

deep sapphire
#

I gotta get 4 new tires as well, I had a shop do my tie rods a year ago and some idiot put the inner tie rod on the wrong side so it wore out the outside of the tire

#

I dunno why I didnt bother looking at it until a few months ago

#

I dont even get that it literally has a bolt that only fits on one side

#

how do you fuck that up

hazy frost
#

I get all my work done just for cost of parts if I can’t do it myself and I know them all personally if they do it wrong lmao

deep sapphire
#

thats legit

#

shop labor is expensive

hazy frost
#

It’s a good situation

#

I can use the ramps at weekends if they’re not working as well

deep sapphire
#

I need to make friends with a paint shop

#

let me use their booth on the weekend

hazy frost
#

Oh I know guys who do bodywork too

#

They’re next door to the garage

#

I think the guy they’re close to quit now so I’m not sure I’d get a discount anymore tho

deep sapphire
#

wtf im coming over

#

and stealing their bondo

hazy frost
#

The problem in the UK is garages are like a pain to find when u get a house

#

We have small ones that don’t fit cars or none at all for the most part

#

Nothing like what u can get in US suburbs

deep sapphire
#

yeah I have a 3 car garage

hazy frost
#

I have a friend in the US who had a 4 car garage and a lift in there

#

I can only dream

hazy frost
#

The garage can fit like half a car

#

Or a motorbike maybe

deep sapphire
#

almost defeats the point, guess you could park outside and then keep a decent tool box in there or something

#

though doesnt it rain constantly there

#

that would get annoying

dire viper
deep sapphire
#

DONT DO IT JESSE I BET HE HAS OVER 100 GRAND UNDER THE HOOD OF THAT CAR

#

those multimatics are meant for like desert racing cause of the dual resevoirs

dire viper
#

the ones for my car

deep sapphire
#

I think they come standard on the colorado ZR2?

deep sapphire
dire viper
#

3 way

deep sapphire
#

im sure they are nice but that seems ridiculous

#

just go find a cadillac in the junkyard and steal their adaptive shocks

dire viper
#

the moton 3 way is one of the few 3 way adjustable dampers on the market

#

most kits are 2 way

#

but on the moton you can adjust rebound, high speed bump and low speed bump

#

which is exactly what you want for road performance

#

also motons let you adjust to an insane level

deep sapphire
#

I dunno I think for 10 grand you could get a lot more for your money but if your budget was endless these would be cool

dire viper
#

compared to like KW, where you dont get to adjust nearly as much

deep sapphire
#

even basic bilsteins are more than good enough for performance

dire viper
#

idk ive ridden in cars with moton on the track vs those without and its a big difference

#

cause the moton forums have every track in the US and EU mapped out for like

#

perfect settings based on car weight and balance lol

deep sapphire
#

bilsteins, a fat sway bar

#

4 link

#

a cheap harbor freight welder

dire viper
#

yes

#

idk Bilsteins are really good and so are Koni's but the track world is a lot different

deep sapphire
#

speaking of suspension

#

props to whoever invented torsion bars

#

thats pretty fuckin clever

dire viper
#

plus if you're that obsessive over a road car motons give you an insane amount of adjustability its unreal

deep sapphire
#

we'll just use that bose system that they showed off in the 90s

dire viper
#

yes

#

if only it wasnt so expensive 😔

#

funny how that tech went into their air ride seats for semis

#

cause they use big magnet on top of air ride

deep sapphire
#

weeeee

dire viper
deep sapphire
#

mechanical engineering is so cool, I wish I went to school for that

dire viper
#

Porsche 911 suspension just being torsion bar in the rear for so long Chad

#

you can adjust the ride height on the go its awesome

deep sapphire
#

hell yeah

dire viper
#

pop the caps off and use the special tool

#

cause the front is so light compared to the rear, the car starts sitting higher front to back

#

also most tanks use a torsion bar suspension, well not most anymore but all the cool ones

#

we need more cars with hydropneumatic suspension

deep sapphire
#

GM used them on the 4x4 front ends

#

They last forever too which is pretty crazy

hazy frost
#

But to get a house with a 2 car garage round here ur paying like £650k+

deep sapphire
#

You’d think with its mechanical operation it would get metal fatigue but nope

dire viper
#

nuh

#

torsion bars are usually very overspec

hazy frost
deep sapphire
#

Sucks all modern cars have shitty macphearson struts

dire viper
#

I think the torsional strength of the bar is relative to its diameter so it will always be mostly over spec

deep sapphire
#

Give me double wishbone all day long

hazy frost
#

Develop new tech and never have it trickle down to base models ever

#

The best way to sell cars

dire viper
#

look at these torsion bars in a leopard 2

deep sapphire
dire viper
#

humongous

deep sapphire
#

Oh you want that blacked out logo and badge? That’ll be 5000

dire viper
#

considering that black disc towards the right of the picture is the output for the sprocket

dire viper
deep sapphire
#

Remember when GM used a single leaf spring

#

That’s so barn door engineering I love it

dire viper
#

double wishbones are so compliant its night and day when not driving a car with it

deep sapphire
#

Yeah macphearson sucks and if they fail you’re in big trouble

#

But they are cheap so what do you do

dire viper
#

my car has macpherson and its fantastic

#

yea lol

#

for a long time they just... stopped using double wishbone cause its more expensive and creates engineering issues

#

but also they used to make the base version of cars as good as the top trim minus the big engine and more features

#

BMW/Nissan/Toyota etc

#

the S13's were all identical minus the interior features and engine

deep sapphire
#

My truck has double wishbone I think all 2WD trucks do

dire viper
#

and so all of them drive VERY well

dire viper
#

requires more room for travel

deep sapphire
#

Yeah

dire viper
#

its why mid engine cars specifically usually have it

#

toyota MR2

deep sapphire
#

Plus they are far more reliable which is what you want on a truck

dire viper
#

I love the boxy Mr2

#

also the MR2 name, Mid engine, Rear wheel drive, 2 door

#

its kinda funny just how far you can go with macpherson suspension

#

Porsche has not stopped using it since... forever

#

and still improve on it

deep sapphire
#

MR2s had one major issue in that they were very easy to lose control

#

Remember the corvair lmao

#

I don’t think technology was good enough at the time to keep them under control

dire viper
#

although they do have this wack ass rear axle they call the weissach axle where the entire unit acts as a torsional object so the rear cant really step out as aggressively, they've done this style since the 928 in the late 70's

dire viper
#

which is fine

#

if you know how to drive

deep sapphire
#

A lot of people put them into the wall rofl

dire viper
#

yuh

deep sapphire
#

Probably why they stopped making them

dire viper
#

also it doesnt help that the MR2 was also short

#

the Cayman is ALSO short tho

#

and had far less crashes

#

even the early models with bad TC

#

can still snap oversteer with TC on

deep sapphire
#

I think they engineered them better to mitigate it but I’m not a Porsche expert

dire viper
#

I think its cause MR2 cheap cayman expensive

dire viper
#

its just the TC got more aggressive

#

but as soon as TC is off its all on you

#

my car will oversteer

#

but thats cause its 50/50

deep sapphire
#

Of course they made this death trap

#

🤣

dire viper
#

yuh

#

too much race car for normal drivers

#

cause it was built off the backbone of a GT1 car

deep sapphire
#

Jay Leno is a good driver I think it was just too easy to lose it on these

dire viper
#

consider that it uses a clutch that is SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED to be dropped

deep sapphire
#

Amazing car don’t get me wrong

dire viper
#

you dont feed the clutch out, gas and drop

#

not instant drop, somewhat slow drop but still way faster than you'd think

#

kinda like when you're rev matching

#

you dont exactly DROP the clutch, but you go VERY fast with it

dire viper
#

they knew it was EXTREMELY unstable

#

but that was by design

#

same with the McLaren F1

#

the Carrera GT weighs 3000lbs and has 600 hp

#

insane power to weight for a car with zero TC or anything

#

McLaren F1 weighed 2800 in its road config

#

and it had 620hp

#

both cars had no modern assist technology so both were driven by wit and muscle

#

I guess its a testament to how NOT good of drivers people had become at the time considering all the reviewers who were middle aged at the time of these cars coming out could drive them perfectly fine but as soon as you give one to Mr Bean he goes and crashes the thing. Twice.

#

I do agree with the funny british guys that the Carrera GT might be one of the best looking cars of all time. Period.

#

Carrera GT Zagato nom

deep sapphire
#

the best color ever made

dire viper
#

yes

#

Its kinda crazy that Zagato repainted and re upholstered the Carrera GT

#

there are only 5 or 6 iirc

#

only 6

#

apparently this is the only one that has ever been offered via a public auction

deep sapphire
dire viper
#

we need to bring back the early 2000's holy grail cars 😔

deep sapphire
#

true mitsubishi eclipse

dire viper
#

the Mercedes SLR McLaren

#

look where the exhaust dumps

#

before the fuckin doors

deep sapphire
#

bahaha nice

#

carbon monoxide poisoning

dire viper
#

yes

deep sapphire
#

that seems like a stupid design

#

what were they thinking

#

🤣

dire viper
#

very very very expensive catalytic converters and extremely hot exhaust

#

full engine with transmission

#

the stirling moss edition SLR is still one of the coolest cars ever

#

this shit looks like a hot wheels

#

and they built 75 of them which is wild

#

you'd think they'd only make like 20 of these like Ferrari would Kek

deep sapphire
#

That’s wild

dire viper
#

Stirling Moss and his sister Pat Moss are the two big british OG's

#

Stirling was one of the more successful racing drivers and Pat was the only female racing driver at the time she was driving

#

her company still exists today

#

Stirling and Pat had official rally wins back when the Mini Cooper was the most dominant car Kek

deep sapphire
#

Well that don’t look to good does it

modest moss
#

does it work though

deep sapphire
#

nope, it leaked out all the freon

#

I'd have to find the leak (probably that condenser coil) replace it or solder it, then use a vacuum pump on it and make sure it holds it and then refill it

#

these mini fridges usually dont cost much so probably best to just junk it and buy a new one

potent arrow
#

if it's in the coil just yeet it

deep sapphire
#

gotta love this scam

@deep sapphire why does forest service green go so hard

sly elk
#

above all else, I hate how newer cars never have cool interior color options

#

unless you drop like $200k+

#

or buy that one special edition toyota or volkswagen or whatever

deep sapphire

Yeah the configuration options “oh that looks cool” SORRY YOU NEED THE TRAIL EDITION PACKAGE

Latest rumors ( yes rumors, take it with a grain of salt ) is that the ringbus cache connection is degrading prematurely and is the culprit.

If you want to mitigate itm, I'd try slowing down the ringbus speed and re-enabling everything else.

If the crashes don't come back, you just hit the jackpot ( and please post about it / reply here, if I had your CPU I would certainly try ). If they do you can always disable everything again and go back to waiting.```
#

I should try this

dire viper
#

I mean it’s probably cause it’s expensive now

#

Tbf you could get crazy nice interiors on BMW’s for a while

#

Like just look up E46 M3 interior colors and there’s a website and a lot of those options only cost like 800-1500

#

But that’s in 1999-2005 money

#

This is the ultra rare cloth option that was only available for a few months in 03

#

This is like peak sporty car interior

HUGE thanks to Chevy for letting me borrow this Chevy Silverado EV 4WT. This video is not sponsored. 95% of the driving on this towing test was done on the freeway at about 75mph.

I had TONS of problems with UE games

oh okay

I expect a class action lawsuit out of this, thats so many people and if the design of the chip is bad what good does a replacement do

I would be surprised if it didn't get class actioned

it's been five months with no fix in sight too

Plus you are losing performance

i didnt know you lose performance by doing a bios update

the first fix reduced thermal window (although if it's a hard flaw in the ringbus that corrupts L3 cache it's going to be really hard for microcode to fix without fucking the user code performance)

paper tusk
#

I'm not sure how intel is going to bullshit their way out of this (lawsuit or otherwise) since even if they refund everyone, there's still other hardware costs that the end user has to absorb/write off.

lost python
deep sapphire
#

before I had the intel baseline profile on ASUS would dump crazy voltage and my CPU fans would go apeshit like I would be loading a battlefield map and my computer sounded like a damn jet engine or even just trying to play a normal game and I couldnt figure it out I kept setting fan profiles and shit and nothing helped

#

I'd honestly say that was the most annoying part of this damn processor over anything rofl

#

imagine trying to play resident evil 4 and your fans wont stop revving up and down constantly

inland mauve
#

is this why streamers have been having static issues when they use app-specific audio capture

#

Sarah explained to me it was caused by static build-up in the buffer due to CPU spikes

#

and I know for a fact I am not the only one who has been having it

#

big, professional streamers with huge audiences and professional set-ups have also been experiencing it

#

is it because of 13th and 14th generation CPUs?

#

it even happens when I stream through Discord, because Discord also uses app-specific audio capture

#

I need a better storage solution

#

copying a terabyte of video files from one external drive to another ain't it

deep sapphire
#

I feel like the windows transfer system got slower in 11

cerulean talon
#

It’s been mostly fine imo, and I shove around tons of content, usbs been janky on some of the 11 patches tho

#

Mine got way better when I started to pay proper attn to which usb ports I was routing traffic to

deep sapphire
#

bring back the windows vista copy animation

inland mauve
#

I just need a better way to store all of this stuff than external drives I guess

so that I don't need to do big transfers like this

yeah

#

My first desktop CPU was a 2600K

deep sapphire
#

the 2600K is legendary

dire viper
#

So what ur telling me is that the 13900KS was the goat for being actually stable at its insane overclocks

deep sapphire
#

that thing went the fuckin distance and overclocked like a champ

#

my 990X fried itself in 2017

#

7 years of abusive overclocking that isnt bad

I ran her hard thats for sure

#

MG is trying to make a car that does 0-60 in under 1 second

#

Kind of crazy

#

Drag coefficient of 0.18

#

Atm

#

Always something good to see at festival of speed the one good event in the UK

deep sapphire
#

are there any tires that can even achieve the grip for that

hazy frost
#

Idk

#

I’d imagine they’d need to develop tyres for it

deep sapphire
hazy frost
#

But it has less drag than the speed tail and more power supposedly

deep sapphire
#

thats one wild air intake

hazy frost
deep sapphire
#

woah

hazy frost
#

They gave me a free coffee cup as well so I’m winning

deep sapphire
#

thats wild looking

hazy frost
#

MG going in the right direction rn

#

It’s to celebrate 100 years or something and their speed records

#

Their new sports car is also pretty cool

#

Also the new Ford capri is disgusting I saw that

#

The new prelude however looks half decent

hazy frost

#

Purists are crying rn

deep sapphire
deep sapphire
#

yeah intel losing their touch with the stability factor is a big deal

#

intel was a trusted brand and its why they had a massive marketshare in the server space

#

with this its like :\

dire viper
#

I think its sad that the only Mustang to ever get an actual ram air intake that worked was the OG Mach 1

sharp star
#

“Don’t get mad, get AMD” or however that advertising went

dire viper
#

and AMG/HWA would have to make new parts

#

which would be a small fortune

deep sapphire
sharp star
#

yep

deep sapphire
#

nvidia nForce was pretty iffy in terms of reliability

#

and then they bought ATI and used their xpress chipsets

#

which werent much better

#

lol

odd sand
deep sapphire
#

well here's the thing, thats been a feature for over a decade right like my 6700K had that and I had it enabled and never had any issues. I am not absolving them of blame but at the end of the day its still intel's chip and intel's chipset and they should have had documentation to these vendors that showed it was degrading chips faster.

That also doesnt explain why these are failing at alarming rates on basic workstation/server boards which dont even support overclocking most of the time

potent arrow
#

Alder lake didn't even have that much of a voltage diff I don't think. They must've fucked up somewhere to cause this level of degradation

deep sapphire
#

as others have said in youtube comments intel has always done well with QC and processor failure is very rare yet here we are

potent arrow
#

yep

deep sapphire
#

you shouldnt have to fuck with a product to make it work, it should work out of the box with minimal effort

#

and they are supposed to test for this stuff

potent arrow
#

as much as I like AMD, Ill admit Intel has a really really good track record

#

this is something so fucking left field

deep sapphire
#

FMEA is a common system in all engineering trades and a company like intel should have a policy

potent arrow
#

I can't recommend anyone get a second hand version of 13/14th gen now. I don't remember the last time I've had to say that for Intel lmfao

deep sapphire
#

simply put I think they rated these way higher than they should have been, and AMD isnt innocent either im sick of this overclocking out of the box bullshit

#

CPUs should be underrated out of the box, if you wanna OC it be my guest but at its factory rating it should have a shelf life of 10+ years

#

I mean whats the point of a K sku when you cant even OC them lmao

potent arrow
deep sapphire
#

x86 has a lot of RISC design already in it

potent arrow
#

not enough lmaooo

deep sapphire
#

x86 isnt the problem, if it was ARM would have caught up and eclipsed it long ago

#

ARM on windows is a joke

#

it was back then

#

it is now

potent arrow
#

which is why we need to start working on it

#

snapdragon is slowly catching up rn

deep sapphire
#

they are, but they put out products half assed and then wonder why they dont catch on

potent arrow
#

it's mostly functional last I checked

deep sapphire
#

the new qualcomm shit works great on very selective tests that they sent to reviewers

#

people that got full access to it had very mixed opinions of it

potent arrow
#

we would have so much better scaling if we actually put effort into arm and it hurts to watch lol

deep sapphire
#

where as apple's silicon ties much better into their OS because they design both

#

MS barely sends out dev kits anymore

dense reef
#

Hi

potent arrow
#

like I said, it's shit rn but I wish we would just swap over lol

deep sapphire
#

so what incentive do you have as a developer to make ARM apps if you know the volume will be low and MS doesnt even help you

deep sapphire
potent arrow
#

It's incredible how short sighted these companies are and it's painful to watch lmfao

dense reef
#

I bought new cpu and gpu that have yet to arrive for my tower pc setup
My PSU is 750 W max and I used a psu calculator from msi and it tells the reccomended wattage is around 812 W

#

Should I upgrade psu too or am I good for now?

potent arrow
#

uhhhh what cpu and gpu

deep sapphire
#

^

dense reef
#

Radeon 7900xt and 7800x3d

deep sapphire
#

if the 750W is a quality PSU you should be fine but it will be tight

potent arrow
#

uhhhhh I would upgrade

deep sapphire
#

they are rated for that, they can go over but if its a cheap shitty one failure is likely

dense reef
#

I have the MSI MPG A750GF

potent arrow
#

PKEwatcatto I hate MSI, hank what's your unbiased opinion

dense reef
#

I wonder if I can sell the parts Ill be replacing. I will hold onto them in case the others have a fault

dense reef
potent arrow
#

second hand selling is pretty common if they arnt too old

#

that makes it worse in my book lmfaooo

dense reef
#

I got them about 1.5 year or so ago

#

Do you reccomend any brand for PSU? Im from Europe

potent arrow
#

I'm heavily biased against anything MSI, even if it's a relabeled PSU I would've yeet it years ago

deep sapphire
#

there's a list on linus tech tips forum that shows validated good power supplys

#

let me find it

dense reef
#

Msi sells decent gaming laptop from what I heard (no experience with them though)

potent arrow
#

no they dont

deep sapphire
dense reef
deep sapphire
#

its not super up to date but from my experience Corsair, SeaSonic and EVGA have been pretty trusted brands in PSUs though EVGA has been winding down operations for a bit so quality might have been impacted

potent arrow
#

you can give me the top of the line MSI laptop and I'll use it as a miter saw insert bcaGuiltySweat

#

EVGA,Higher end Corsair, Be quiet is usually what I reach for

deep sapphire
#

MSI gaming laptops are usually the cheapest ones you can get for similar spec so the build quality on them are pretty poor and dont hold up well

#

plastic welded hinges is common

potent arrow
#

wha

deep sapphire
#

honestly I dont get the reference either cid_sip

#

miter saw insert

dense reef
#

Yeah I dont know exactly what you meant using a saw support (?)

deep sapphire
#

anyways

#

here is what I would do

#

install what you have with the PSU you have

#

if it seems fine

#

then all good

potent arrow
deep sapphire
#

MSI isnt great but they arent some no name brand either

#

they should have over voltage protection so it wont destroy your components

#

most of the time your system is at idle anyway

dense reef
#

Budget isnt an issue so I can always wait for a new PSU

deep sapphire
#

the rating is based on peak load

#

okay

#

then I would get a 1000w modular PSU

dense reef
#

I think 850 W should be fine?

deep sapphire
#

I have a 4090 and 13700 got a 1050w PSU

dense reef
#

Mhm

deep sapphire
#

4090 and 7900XTX use about the same power

dense reef
#

Oh i dont have the high end, just the cheaper version
The 7900 xt

deep sapphire
#

oh alright

#

yeah 850 should be fine then

#

wait do you have a lot of RGB fans and stuff to

dense reef
#

About 200-300 dollar difference

#

Yeah I have 7 fans (not counting the AIO)

deep sapphire
#

get a 1000w

dense reef
#

What happens with extra wattage? Is it just for safety?

deep sapphire
#

it will have larger capacitors in it which will allow it to run cooler at higher loads and mitigate failure

#

if you are gaming all the time, that and the fans running can be a big drain on your system

hazy frost
#

850 would be more than enough still

#

fans dont use enough to jump to 1000

deep sapphire
#

either or

hazy frost
#

the 1000w models get too expensive

#

a more efficient higher end 850 > mediocre 1000w for the same price

potent arrow
#

I would just get 1000 to mitigate weird ass spikes in power tbh

hazy frost
#

u dont need to

deep sapphire
potent arrow
#

just peace of mind, usually a decent 1000w is only 50-60$ more

deep sapphire
#

either 850 or 1000 is fine

hazy frost
#

7800x3d is like 70w

deep sapphire
#

you can do either

hazy frost
#

7900xt will never draw enough to pull over like 700

deep sapphire
#

if price isnt a concern then you can decide yourself

hazy frost
#

lol

hazy frost
#

u have peace of mind with an 850

dense reef
#

ok ill do a coparison

hazy frost
#

u will not get powerspikes where u need a 1000

potent arrow
#

why do I bother aaaaaaa

hazy frost
#

7900xt is like a sub 400W gpu and the 7800x3d is a sub 100w cpu

#

the rest of the system is not drawing 300w

#

7900xt power spikes are like barely in the 400s

deep sapphire
#

thats fair, the 7800X3D is pretty efficient

#

I have intel so power spikes are a bit worse

hazy frost
#

the xtx has like 60w higher power spikes as well

#

so if u got that it would be worse

dense reef
#

i couldnt justify getting the xtx, as a noob the biggest difference for me is only 4 gb

deep sapphire
#

unless you game at 4K and want higher FPS its not worth it

#

1080 and 1440 the XT is more than capable

dense reef
#

yes im stuck with 1080 monitor for now

hazy frost
#

132w more than the 7950x is crazy tho

deep sapphire
#

if anything that should be your upgrade focus if you dont have a budget

hazy frost
#

oled qhd monitor and 7900xt goes hard

deep sapphire
#

I undervolted my CPU and put the strict 140w baseline profile on

#

it wont go over 140w no matter what

hazy frost
#

yeah 7800x3d just never really goes above 80

#

especially when its intended use is gaming

dense reef
#

i have the r5 7600x

#

i guess cpu wont be much more demanding

hazy frost
#

even my 7700x is using like 120w bc i dont have any undervolt and its running at like 1.4V still

#

asus motherboard

hazy frost
#

unless u specifically play games where u need 3d v cache

#

like msfs

#

just buy a 1440p monitor instead and u would see no real difference between a 7800x3d and a 7600x

dense reef
#

im playing second life if that counts. and some gpu intensive games

hazy frost
#

the more gpu intensive it is the less ur cpu matters

#

and the 7600x is way more than adequate for gaming if u already own it

#

id wait for the 9800x3d or just not upgrade rn

hazy frost
#

i mean someone drove a 250 GTO up there so it was lower on the list of expensive cars

#

a few F1 GTRs as well

#

easy 20 million

dire viper
#

250 GTO's have full Ferrari support tho

#

if you crash your car and it needs a whole new chassis ferrari will build it

#

its why burnt wrecks sell for so much at auction

#

as long as you have the vin plate ferrari can legally replace the entire car and transfer the vin

hazy frost
#

Would u like to drive one then

#

The process is better but I don’t think anyone would want to get in that and thrash it up a hill climb ever

#

CLK LM was a very average car for the day

dire viper
#

F1 GTR is like 50 million

#

probably more now

#

cause F1's usually go for 50-70

#

250 GTO's the same

#

the GT1 road cars arent nearly as expensive

#

911 GT1 Strassenversion's only go for like 10 million on private sale

odd sand
deep sapphire
#

I still support intel but this raptor lake shit is ridiculous

odd sand
#

I dunno how much I blame them bc unless something has changed about our understanding of the issue in the last few months, it was largely due to board makers ignoring specs and doing auto-OC that pushed way too much voltage into the CPUs.

#

They try to make it easy for consumers by having all these buzzword one-click configs for OC and latency reduction etc. without regard for if the hardware can actually handle it.

deep sapphire
#

I’ve used an old super micro board before and you never had any “auto OC” shit for obvious reasons

Intel isn’t dumb though it’s highly unlikely this was just dumped into the wild with no validation testing

hell you are likely to even encounter color differences with 2x the same model because they aint always calibrated exactly the same

it depends how crazy you are

modest moss

i just have some cheap msi IPS panel as my second screen because i couldnt care less about its colors. its just there for second-monitor streams or discord

modest moss
#

I mean, ideally, but like Rob says you can't even be sure two identical model panels will be perfect

lost python

the question is really what are you planning to do with your second screen? because i doubt you are gonna game on 2 monitors or watch movies stretched across 2

modest moss

are you doing graphic design work projects that span both displays? if no, you'll be fine

royal forge

Nah. Maybe either game on one screen, stream on d other

#

I don’t think I’ve seen the colour black displayed properly once with my PC

sly elk
#

i have one of the older LG 34" ones (34um94) and it has a nicer antiglare coating

hazy frost
#

It’s slightly more grainy than some but it’s also WAY better if u actually need an anti glare coating compared to other brands

#

I’ll take that slightly more grainy look to have basically no reflections in a room with a ton of sunlight

#

Grainy but does the job is better than less grainy but still reflective bc at that point might as well be glossy

sly elk
#

HEHE

#

I admit I lust for a pro display xdr and the glossy glass screen

hazy frost
#

Glossy looks great in a dark room but like I am no longer a 15 year old sweaty gamer and I do want light in my room

Which then renders glossy displays unusable

So this is a general tech wonder i noticed, and wonder what that is

if i put say, a video on top of FFXIV, a running game, i notice that right at the edge of the window
