yeah the main things to watch out for are cables being too bent on either side, make sure GPU is not sagging, and make sure the cable is all the way in very tight locked in, it shouldn't ever pull out if you move it a bit without tugging

Alienware is a strange one. They used to advertise factory overclocking. And indeed, the bios settings would include overclock options... but at least as of 10 years ago they were just canned profiles and not detailed things. Up until like 6 years ago, they were using custom MSI motherboards. Then they gave up and switched to just using Dell XPS motherboards, basically. X_X

Either way, their motherboards have never been all that great.. they always skimp on cooling the VRMs and system controllers and OFTEN only have half the ram slots 😮

like with x99 and x299 they only had 4 ram slots instead of 8

So, I have a Logitech G910 Keyboard, and a Logitech G502 which I had for quite a few years.

Due to G hub being an ok software, there's the possibility to allow the game to control my RGB in a cool way (Blink red when I take aggro, movement keys, spells get their own rgb color and pushing "alt" make highlight in a dark blue color every of my shortcut key (alt U for exemple)).

for christmas I got a Corsair K100 and a Corsair Darkstar, allowing me to get a Corsair ecosystem (which is cool!)

I currently have an Alienware M15 R2 gaming laptop. It's like three years old I think?
Current Specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 with Max-Q Design and Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630

This laptop does have some issues. I'm needing to replace the battery in it. It does run very very hot. I've had to have the CPU fan replaced once and the laptop lives on a fanboard.

Any suggestions for upgrading? I'm fine with switching to a desktop, just have liked the moveability of the laptop.
