According to Microsoft resources, it's possible the Boot drive was corrupted

Considering the boot drive did something

I wasn't around just it had like 2 empty folders open with the same name as the USB drive

So I think something cocked up during creation

After redoing the media creation and restarting it finally found the windows drivers to install

so unless suddenly magically every game afterwards doesn't do this anymore, a benchmark like that is useless

and publishers already can't manage to release AAA games that run properly before you take DRM into consideration

Sliders problems: (sorry was distracted so took a while, but i wanted to complete this 🙂 )
first 2 seasons aired out of order, thanks to Fox, not helping them actually develop an overarching plot (try and watch in order imo), (they did the same thing to Firefly a few years later, also not doing them any favours)
3rd season Fox decided to take over and take creative control from the creator.
halfway through S3 they forced a new character, was horrible, and killed off a beloved character.
so most of S3 is pretty bad, specifically Episode 5 onwards. where the original creator was basically booted out and the people Fox brought in just started ripping off popular movies of the time, but badly, some examples are Tremors, Twister, The Night of the Living Dead, The Island of Doctor Moreau.
the crew even made fun of it in their end of year gag reel, actually showing shots from the show AND some of the movies back to back, lol, you can find the S3 gag reel online in a few places.
after that, Fox cancelled it and the Scifi channel took over for S4 and S5 and took it back to more of its original premise, some of the damage was already done so cast members not coming back, BUT it did get much better and more consistent (and we got a proper overarching storyline with a persistent big-bad.) IMO i think the last 2 seasons do quite well actually. IF you can get past the cast changes. (and a few mediocre episodes and mediocre leading man in S5).
Basically, the show Could have been brilliant, if Fox hadn't fucked it up in 6 different ways. If only it had started on the Scifi channel to begin with.
