But windows 10 has had a lot of fundamental changes since it was released in 2015, much more than any previous windows version, because they wanted to be able to move to a more flexible OS model, where they can make major changes without waiting 3-4 years between

compare Win10 build 1507, to current Win10 build 22H2, on the surface AND especially under the covers they are very different

windows 11, is really mostly just another windows 10 major update
it makes some under the cover changes, but the more drastic changes are the visuals, but we've had some similar changes before in Win10, that people didn't like, but people just get used to it and forget about it.

and Microsoft just wants to be able to market it, hence its 11

fundamentally, its a regular major build update of Win10, with some ui changes and a name change.

tbh I think one thing that should heavily influence one's decision is what they intend to use the earbuds with

looks like the answer to that is no. So if you don't use earbuds with the apple h1 or h2 chip, you will not get the same sound quality.

ahh this is an important detail, thanks for that. If you're not using an iphone, I believe the opposite is true. The H1/H2 headphones will not sound better on an android device.
