tried that, geforce wanted me to be connected to the internet, turned on the internet, windows immediately installed it

OK run DDU but also make sure that windows pauses all updates while on a metered connection and turn your Wi-Fi in the settings to a metered connection temporarily

That should prevent windows from grabbing them and allow you to manually install them

Question about switching to ReShade: once I've got ReShade installed and GShade uninstalled, are the following files fine to delete from my game folder..?

I would assume so since there are ReShade equivalents in the folder now, but just want to check just in case since I know a lot of people have said that just uninstalling GShade alone doesn't actually remove a lot of the stuff it leaves behind..
