I really don't like C++'s "auto" - it seems to fly in the face of the whole concept of C and using strict datatypes. Whenever I see auto y = x, I know I have to go find out what the hell "x" is in order to know what y is. And that pisses me off.

I also think passing "by reference" is ugly

aesthetically, type casting in C++ is hideous too, but I do appreciate the functionality and being able to instruct the compiler to do exactly a certain kind of typecast

I kinda wanna buy a xbox series X cuz my currently 10-year old PS3 controller has started to drift again
someone told me to get a 8bitdo Ultimate Controller with Hall Effect for drift-less instead

the 8bitdo one is cheaper and being drift-less sounds nice, but it is not popular in my place, hence hard to warranty and repair. I also concerns about gaming experience. Never hold a xbox controller before.
