The problem was the detent plunger in the ignition switch wasnāt strong enough so it was easy for the key to back off from run into acc which essentially turns the vehicle off

So people looking to do video nowadays probably just slap a DSLR on a steadycam mount
The biggest difference may just be that camcorders tend to have multiple SDcard slots to record a lot longer in one go

you don't have enough physical photons to trigger the sensor, so it doesn't matter if you had a fuckin GFX and an f/4 lens on that
shot noise goes down as you bring up your shutter speed, so you're only going to get read noise if you take low lux photos with a tripod and long exposure
it depends more on how old the sensor is, not the size of the sensor
panasonic's GH5 body is a smaller sensor than the t6i or nikon's APS-C sensor and it handles low light extremely well
the GH5 is pretty commonly used as a budget film camera because of its low light performance

16k is well within the realm of reasonable recovery for modern sensors
it will look pretty shit if you're genuinely in low lux environments
but that's because you're physically out of photons to activate the sensor
so the sensor is struggling to recover data that isn't there
read noise is induced by the amp circuitry (which controls your "iso" setting), shot noise is photons hitting your sensor intermittently within the shutter exposure period
most low light photos with high grain are shot noise, read noise is pretty well suppressed in modern sensors

my d500 sensor is considered a legend for APSC sensors and I never shoot it above 16k

I do like how it improved temps slightly because the card isn't so massive and blocking airflow.

The difference seems to be I can do Native 4k on High/Ultra with no upscaling and keep my 60+ FPS (I was getting 80-100 just now in Infinite) unlike with the 3080 Ti where trying Native 4k with no upscaling or DLSS would tank me to 40-60 FPS.
It also runs cooler than the 3080 Ti did.
