not all "bios flashbacks" are the same, some will work without a supported CPU in the socket, but others wont,
afaik this one should work no matter what, but they are reported to be finicky , sometimes picky with some USB drives for no reason.
as well as the USB drive file system it may not like (may have to format as FAT32 for it to work).
you may wanna try a different drive or reformat it in a different file system.

I've got a random question for the Nvidia (and whatever AMD's version is) Control Panel.
All of these settings you can change, there's millions of YT videos about it but it's almost always FPS (CSGO usually lol) games being used as an example.
Will changing any of these settings make a difference at all for FFXIV? Looking to get more FPS to make up for the amount of it I lose from Gshade.
I have followed several of these "guides" and I honestly can't ever notice a difference, whether it's for Performance or Quality.
I have a 980ti, 1440p 144hz monitor w/ Gsync, and a i7 4790k, if this matters.

If I do the screenshot specific ones I go from like 120FPS to 20 LOL.
The big issue is honestly my PC is being pushed kinda hard I guess.
I only get around 60-120FPS depending on where I am in game. With my current preset I sit around 100fps as a max, but this preset is kinda just color balance lol.
I was hoping to push some performance to make the lows higher, Idm if the highs stay where they are.
I just hate how the game is constantly going between FPS values. Like it has a heart attack whenever someone loads in or something lol.
Gsync kind of helps this but sometimes you can really tell the FPS just took a dive.

Yeah I get ~120FPS with my setup at 1440p. Depending on the Gshade preset that can be 40 or 100FPS lol.
And until recently my PC was very much a heater. CPU was at like 70c or higher, GPU was getting to 90c. Applied paste to both and bought a new CPU cooler and both temps are down again lol.
Do you think that'd give a big boost to performance? I was kinda hoping to just do an all in one go upgrade (feels nicer lol). Also would I need new ram? I have ddr3 ram lol.

I don't have a pony in this game so I'm not sure which is built better or has better support. My guess is the mobile difference between a 3070 and a 3070ti is small, since they're going to be more strongly heat constrained than anything else.

you can undervolt it and disable turbo boost
then the thermals should subside enough for you to be able to game
but ur ofc not gonna get top performance

if you are gonna do that
turn the fan curve really high
so that they will spin at max speed when you are gaming
