I need some advice: due to a physical limitation, I'm not really the safest driver and, because of this, I try to stay off of highways.

Unfortunately, Google Maps doesn't always give you the option of getting to far away routes off the highway. Sometimes it will, sometimes it won't, it's seemingly completely random.

And sometimes, even if it does, you might have a situation like I had today where you'll choose a route that takes you off the highway, but you did so while you were parked facing a certain direction, and while you're pulling out Google Maps will think you're turning around, recalculate your route, and put you onto the fastest route.

So my question is: are there any decent navigation apps that any you know of that give you more freedom when it comes to determining your routes?

the specs are good, but there are some caveats. For example, the 8gb ram is soldered on and not upgradeable, there's no keyboard backlight, no USB-C-PD so you can't charge it via usb-c (I think), the screen isn't great either. not sure if the storage is upgradeable

cant remember if it was corsair or another brand, but when i had to repaste my cpu after a mobo RMA, the paste kit had a little plastic "frame" that you put over the cpu. paste it, peel the frame, and it pulls any excess spillover away and leaves a decent layer on the cpu
