it's not that big of a difference because DDR5 hasn't really been optimized at all

there's been no pressure on the RAM companies to make good/high performance DDR5 because AM4 doesn't support it and intel hasn't been forcing it

AM5 is the first platform to require DDR5, like four years after the stupid spec was made

AM5 will likely anchor down DDR6 adoption too, since JDEC finished that spec last year if I recall

by the time AM6 comes around they'll be on like DDR8

(I am once again pointing out that having super long lived chipsets is fuckin terrible)
