ram ranch
Me: orders expensive PC parts
My $15 phone case: gets delayed
I'm sure this bodes well for my parts arriving on time

that meme doesn't work though
so far every time the stock market dives, the crypto market also dives
aw
the fairies have to come to you
(or you must consume the fairy dust)
beware of the police they are not fairy friends
holy shit what
I'm in awe
lexus actually made a nice looking car for once?!
I mean it still looks needlessly angry with their corporate DRLs
lol
i mean it's the first time they've designed something that doesn't look like an angry alien baby eater
this is what I meant
but the cars themselves look nothing alike
and even then, I fully approve
it's such a good look >>
nah they're not the same i wouldn't worry
i hope they make it.
its interesting how green is the least popular car color by a wide margin
Even yellow is more common. Orange was rare until they introduced the flat orange with the crosstrek and it was everywhere for a couple years. Still popular with the challenger bc of dukes of hazzard etc
I guess I would say tan/brown is 2nd least popular although buick and honda use a pearlescent brown for their suvs these days
green hasn't been that popular for a while though
it was very popular in the 90s
Yeah I just find it interesting how almost every other common color is represented a decent amount these days. Although by far white grey and black are most common now. Ppl are boring
Dont insult me white truck
Green was only popular in the 90s for ghetto cruisers
Non neutral colors are usually only not ass if you buy upwards of 70k
i would argue that white and grey are most popular because that's what dealers order, and most people don't custom order cars
I would still get an ice white gtr
id say 70s and 80s were when green was at all represented then fell off
as for the color green
no I very much disagree
green and red were probably the most popular ford explorer colors back when they first went hella popular
can you imagine being around that corner at sunset and the glare from it
my friend's challenger has that problem bc his hood is so large and he buffs it to a shine
there was also that awful aqua that ford used
in the early 90s
it felt like you couldn't go 1 mile without seeing an escort hatchback in that awful color
that green was only offered bc it was the throwback to the 60s and 70s mustang where green was a popular stock color
sea green ford anal probe huh... that's a rare oe
I had a banana yellow Geo Storm
Lets see my cars went: red yellow red black black blue
i'm having a hard time finding it
oh maybe it was geo metros
EW YES
the 90s version of "your ride has arrived"
-hides-
if you want ugly cars, look for a geo storm wagon .... why
Yeah the metro convertible was a real head scratcher
I have to admit
geo was a brand that really made a statement
if you were an edgelord
it's funny because there's a small group of offroad purists
who think the tracker is one of the best offroaders ever
Isuzu unibodies that aged like someone snapped by Thanos
and they secretly wish they could get a suzuki samurai in the US
oh my bad
it's the Jimny now
You never saw a geo storm older than 10 years in the midwest bc they rusted away
about 5 years ago I saw one up in green bay also banana yellow and did a double take... i hadn't seen one in like 15 years
They must have gotten it from down south
ok i need to stop chatting and sleep lol
I paid 1900 for my geo metro at 2 years old lmao
Guy had drove it down to chicago for work everyday and put 60k mi a year onto it
you could but a lot better for 5k
Front third of the hood looked sandblasted by stones bc of the highway debris
for just $1k more
Pretty sure the top speed was literally 55-60mph so you couldnt even do the limit on the freeway heh
w body with the 3800 😄 ...
wait that's not a w body wtf
thats not bad for 6k. make a good pizza delivery vehicle heh
my rule of thumb was spend 3-5k around 75k miles, drive it 75-100k then sell before it needs major repairs and get like 1500-2000 for it
to be fair, the only thing that stayed the same was the name
The GM B platform was introduced in 1926 with the Buick Master Six, and the Oldsmobile Model 30, and had at least 12 major re-engineering and restyling efforts, in 1937, 1939, 1941, 1949, 1954, 1957, 1959, 1961, 1965, 1971, 1977, and 1991; along with interim styling changes in 1942, 1969 and 1980 that included new sheetmetal and revised rooflines. The platform was downsized in length by approximately 10 inches in 1977 and reduced in weight by an average of 800 pounds
man this is a miserable bench seat
if you're stuck sitting in the middle
no
they came from the factory with foggy headlights
?!
also if the celica floats your boat, get one?
lol I was kidding about the headlights, but that is a super common issue with them
well there's your reason right there
i'm lazy and don't understand the point of buying anyuthing higher than a 392
the 392 only because you get better suspension/brakes over a r/t
and even then i kinda hate how dodge doesn't make them quiet anymore
soo
you're cross shopping a versa and a celica?
yea i really miss quiet v8 cars
https://youtu.be/D3nY7JsVy34?t=92
why can't they make chargers like this anymore 😦
0-60 on a 2007 Dodge Charger road and track special package 5.8 seconds.
So apparently Gamers Nexus has a video already on the new Intel Arc GPUs

3090 for maybe $600
Wat
dangit
i have no idea where the usb hub on my right monitor is plugged in lmao
aha, found it!
was looking at 980 Ti founder edition yesterday. that's something i really don't need buuut...
LAST FEW DAYS to grab a Limited GN CyberSkeleton shirt! https://store.gamersnexus.net/products/limited-edition-foil-skeletal-cotton-t-shirt-with-pc-component-design - this helps directly fund the staff time to work on our videos, testing, and analysis AND gets you something awesome in return!
Intel's Arc GPU driver software is completely and ut...

when you see shit like this
you get to appreciate nvidias good drivers and amds functional ones
I just watched that earlier
Why can't I see this emote in my emote list
I found it
I can't use it
:haha:
???
Even if I actually type the emote in I don't see it
that is odd
It's literally not in my emote list when I type
But I can see it in the emote list for the server
But I can't use it
???
cries in mobile app
ITS EVEN IN MY FREQUENTLY USED LIST NOW

nvm it's just a normal dirty truck
i thought it was one of the 2023s hank and I have been looking at like
THOSE JUST CAME OUT
how does someone trash it that fast
but that's not a 2023 lol
reconnected my hard drive after a couple days to try and move stuff to a new ssd and somehow it works now
not trusting it tho
managed to move over the stuff i wanted to keep
may be too vague but, if any has some idea on why it happened, my pc restarted itself twice in a row with no warning
...
does msi dragon center have an issue where it just forces restarts?
you had a volmgr error
bsod maybe?
so with the mini spikes each gpu has, you would need a 1500+watt psu to run this thing
i'll keep looking
what does the volmgr error say
i like how both nvidia and psu manus play ping pong with blame for pcs crashing on some gpus from 30x0
I think that we will see a big improvement to PSUs over the next couple of years
swapping out the current one for another might be a waste given what might come on the horizon
i wanna see more 12v implementation
"error dump failed because of an error" lmao
yeah, not very helpful when it says error caused by error
event id 161
looking into it
this is the most broad error code ever
replace psu
disconnect external devices
switch off link state power managment
update drivers
all i get at most has been... related to safe mode and /sfc
Don't ever ping me with a LTT shithead video ever
in safe mode or normal
could also be some windows update fuckup
i will forever curse hp that the update of windows broke every driver for the printers
my fav troubleshooting was when my mate messaged me about his pc not booting
and i asked whats the weird stain on the side of the case
"my cat pissed on it but that cant be it"
yeah pins were wet
under the fucking cpu

So I got a new Gigabyte M27Q and I like it
Works well on just about everything I own, including the PS5 beta
good cheap display
I think the AX1600 is pretty indicative of what you're going to get
physics won't magically change because "it's the future"
speaking of, I think I need to replace my PSU again
when I got home yesterday the PC was stuck in a start-stop cycle trying to power on
I don't know what keeps killing them in my case, they only last like three years and eat shit
the current popular PSUs are not really well protected against mini spikes, so they tend to close or shut off when they happen, but new future ones will have better protection against them, that is one definitive change that I think will happen
oh, I mean, yeah
the AX1600 apparently has programmable OCP soft and hard limits
so you can cushion yourself against transients
I don't think you're going to find that kind of tech trickling down to the 550W range though, since any PC that's still using that kind of power supply probably doesn't have a GPU that can pull 1200W transients either
we will probably see it for 750w-850w psus at the lowest I think, that kind of protection
largely the "recommended" PSU on the GPU box is getting closer to "you actually need this" and not a "you can get away with a $30 220W PSU" anymore
yeah
member when nvidia was recommending 850W PSUs for the GTX 480
you absolutely didn't need anything that large
they just wanted to make sure you had a +12V with enough amps to drive it
yeah, PSUs should last forever
I had an ax860i 😔
close to same, 6 years old, corsair HXi 750w
I never had a problem with it so far
I can probably slot a 3080 inside it
and it will be fine
but it will be approaching a decade old when the 3080 starts to peeter off like the current pascal gpus
that is when it starts getting scary
I had an old AX850 from 12 years ago
it finally gave up
Or rather, it was unable to keep up
I remember when anandtech used to do actual thorough EE reviews of PSUs
Pee
measuring ripple and efficiency curves using programmable loads with variable reflected power loads
flextronics seems to be the best at the high power end
the AX1600 gets really high marks for ripple suppression and transient handling
plus the efficiency/loading curve is breddy gud since it's a digital PSU
I wonder if atx12vo will ever become a thing
analog PSUs used to follow the "shoot for ~60% loading for max efficiency" rule
... Christ
ah man, that reminds me of the old dell optiplex bug I had to deal with when I was working at my uni
sometimes the thing would just die and refuse to power on unless you pulled the aux connector off the board, tried to boot it, and then plugged it back in
never did figure out why pulling the 12V aux would resurrect the thing
What the fuck? Is that a grounding issue?
no idea, it would work almost 100% of the time unless the PSU was truly dead
and it was every optiplex on the campus with a certain chassis design, not just one fucked up unit
Almost definitely grounding I would think
someone would call and say their PC didn't turn on, I'd crack the clamshell, do the aux connector dance, and it would work again
if it was a ground issue it would just fail again, but it wouldn't happen for months
there's no RF ringing to be like "maybe it's an inductance vswr issue" either, it's a damn DC line with no ripple
and these people worked in office environments, not tech labs where there would be nasty HF signals
fuckin mystery, garbage ass dell computers
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
wish I'd dumped like 25k in AMD when it was $2 a share
ooff, yeah
apple in 1999 when they were near death's door
talk about a "wish for a delorean" moment
$25k in apple in 1999, more like "retire in 2018"
the gap has grown a ton, it's now 36.2 for intel vs 96.85 for amd
makes sense when intel has made some pretty bad moves
from bulldozer to this
killed optane completely, absolutely awful gpu launch and drivers, rumors of delays for their new workstation cpus
probably going to get worse from here
i mean it's normal, it's a tok architecture like hank(?) said, there's not going to be real improvements until 14th gen
and even then the leaks say the gains aren't as much but games will feel a ton smoother with the new cpus because of the min fps being way higher than 12th gen
here's one of the rumors/leaks
Resizable BAR, is this worth enabling in my bios?
yes
it can net extra performance in some titles
any potential downsides?
not that I've heard of
I think it's just disabled by default in case your hardware doesn't support it
I'll stick it on and see if I notice any difference, thanks
5% is breddy gud, but the zen 4 leaks are like 20-25% over the 12600
although those are in like, cinebench?
it just says games
I'm still debating if I want to wait for zen 4 and just take the L on the consumer platform, or wait for TR4 and get on the HEDT train again
although I don't think I have a use case for 128 threads as an average spud user
in theory every game that allocates a lot of vram should benefit but in reality it doesn't do much. there's 0 downside
you barely use your computer anyway
most users barely use their computer lmao
so don't overspend
I buy for long-term use
save a bit, buy a big tiddy anime statue as well
spend $5000 now, get 6+ years out of it before it gets to the unacceptable performance territory
instead of being constantly pushed out of relevance with $1000 upgrades every 18 months
so you're gonna do some daft shit like Ice, but hopefully with working parts
I mean, I spent $7000 on my current tower but most of that was watercooling bobbins
I didn't spend $7000 on hardware and blow up half of it

can you reuse any of your cooling?
yeah
although the pumps are getting pretty old, they've been in continuous service since 2013
most of the time the only things you need to change are blocks
I already bought four backup/replacement pumps
that's the benefit of custom cooling
wait, was it you that was talking about doing a build in a nice wooden cabinet?
yeah, and AM5 is using the same footprint as AM4 so waterblocks should fit with a minimum amount of modding
yeah, that's me
yeah spend all your money on it
I have all the boards, just have to cut out the holes and put the board tray on it
lol
apparently corsair makes a waterblock for m.2 SSDs so that's going in the loop too
thermal throttle? not with a fuckin 140x3 radiator on it buddy
don't they also make a ram waterblock or no?
i know someone did
they might, but ram doesn't get that hot
they also make full-board blocks to cover the PCH and shit but those chips also never get hot if you have enough airflow in your case
it will not work for 14th gen
you're talking about dissipating like, 40W of heat or some shit
watercooling a PCH makes no sense
do you really need water for an ssd?
yes
if you're at the point where you need XXXTREME cooling for your board chips you're doing a LN2 submersion build anywya
my 980 pro is only getting to like 50c with the mobo heatsink
ssds get extremely hot and if you go gen 5 ssds it's going to make a lot of heat
yeah, the thermal density is what gets you
they're tiny and there's nowhere for the heat to go, even with an aluminum spreader
yeah, my ssds are 31c 🙏
although one uses the default motherboard heatsink and is hotter at 35c
but the second i put that thing under load installing a game i bet it'll jump badly 😔
my second ssd is 36c with no heatsink
get a heatsink
no
that's how my old one died 😔 it fried itself
36c won't kill anything
I mean, you also don't normally run your SSD for that long as an average user
although more games might start using directstorage now that AMD supports pcie 5.0
there's now ssds for direct storage coming out
ugly things
i mean i still wouldn't reuse your current block on 14th gen
I thought the MP600 and other SSDs in its generation were the minimum for directstorage
since they're PS5 compatible
yeah, it's probably just market speak but it's "game optimized firmware" and "Designed for the directstorage api"
I thought the limitation for directstorage was the sequential read speed
needs to be a certain value or directstorage just goes "nah, too slow chump"
yeah, the dumbest part about that nvme i linked is it doesn't say speeds
MP600 claims to be 7GB/s at full throttle, which seems to be all new-gen SSDs
there isn't really much separating SSDs these days as far as I can tell
just a matter of picking the brand you want in your tower
EK nickel plating
time to write your own update
they already are
i promise you this new 6ghz mark they're going for is going to be 400w+ real quick
leave it to a pro to handle it
you have shit luck
I have two 140x3 radiators earmarked for my next tower
dedicated 140x3 dual row for GPU, 140x3 single row for CPU
I don't think I need two 140x3 radiators for a GPU 🤔
even at 600W a 140x3 should be able to keep up
I have a titan xp-2 on the same loop as a 6850k and the GPU runs about parity with my rad temps according to afterburner
that's only on a 2x200 setup, which is less surface area than 3x140
keep in mind that it's tdp when in actuality draw will be higher
plus the separated loops pulls 150W off the GPU line
TDP for the 4090 is supposed to be 650-ish, I thought
there's no way the 4090 is hitting 800W sustained, you're way out of the realm of air cooling at that point
yes but tdp means nothing considering the 3090 ti is like 350 and still draws more than that
isn't that if you unlock the boost limiter to 120%?
no
even without it
yeah, the tdp is terrible these days, if it's 600w tdp excpect in the ballpark of 700+
yeah, that's the onboard firmware allowing your 20% overhead
350*1.2 -> 420
yeah, although the power limiter is restricting the maximum heat output 😔
even with AB set to 120% my GPU is like "boy, I sure love power throttles" as soon as the GPU temperature gets over 40C
so the core clock starts bouncing to keep the power draw within the limit
my card said it's 350w or something and it said in asterisk "can draw 500 watts"
atleast it said it but still insane
I always hit power limits on my titan xp
shunt mod time
it's like 350-ish before the power limiter engages
XIV always causes my GPU to power limit
unlocked framerates just switch straight to a solid 1 on my power/voltage limit graph
he doesn't play unlocked 😔 pretty sure
what happened to your whole bs of "optimized gcd" or whatever
if I locked it at 60 it would probably be fine, but the core clock I chose isn't power stable with unlocked FPS in XIV
the vcore needed to sustain it causes a cascade of voltage/power limits fighting each other
can't you workaround it with powertables?
that's with the power budget bumped in afterburner
it wouldn't take that core clock at all without it
i mean even further modding
I mean, I could hardware mod it but shunt modding the titan is kind of a bitch
i'm well aware of that lmao, locks in general are worse
I have two series pumps running at 60% output into two 1L reservoirs and a 2x200 radiator
more frames = lower input latency generally want to be double your refreshrate for maximum responsiveness supposedly
the temperature tap for the radiator is my water temp reference and the GPU core temp is usually pegged to it
i was thinking something like amd has but nvidia doesn't have an equivalent that i know of 😔
this is what amd users use to unlock even more power
isn't that what rivatuner does?
I don't have a probe reading for VRMs on this card, as far as I know
it's more than that pretty sure
I'm sure they run pretty hot since I used my own thermal pads on the waterblock and the block itself doesn't quite make good contact to anything but the core
holy shit, this epomaker reward redemption process is so fucking tedious
why couldn't they use a pledge fulfillment service instead of this convoluted shit
they keep sending emails being like "we keep getting emails from backers saying they made a mistake during the redemption process" and sending the same video tutorial link
if everyone is fucking it up, maybe the problem is your process and not everyone else on the planet
¯_(ツ)_/¯
I have my radiator mounted externally because it doesn't fit inside my case
which makes the 2x200 mounted outside extremely fuckin loud
2x 26 dB with no pwm

Second-guessing getting the custom watercooling this fall. Bc if I get the 15th gen later for the Tock of the chiplet design, I would at the very least need some new piping and new CPU block which would probably be around $150-200
If I plan on a short upgrade period it might be better to just buy a 360mm AIO for now
And then I'll probably keep the 15th gen for awhile and I could do custom then
tubing can be reused if the socket is roughly the same distance from the other components on your new board
which reminds me, I need to buy more of that reinforced tygon tubing, that shit lasted me 9 years without cracking
whatever voodoo they did to make that plastic is worth every dead animal
Also if I wanted to get a new case bc the 570X will be like 5-6 years old at that point
just get a new case now
it's like a hermit crab, get a bigger shell and grow into it
I'm trying to keep down expenses until ive paid off the CC again.
I'm dropping it about 2k a month so it will be at 8k in 2 weeks
Moving was expensive
do you need it right now?
like I'm probably going to have to buy a new PSU this week and go way out of my budget
unless I go home tonight and my PC magically resurrects itself because I was stuck in some weird thermal overload protection loop
I think I just forced an overtemp error because I was at my girlfriend's for the weekend and the room where my PC is kept was closed the whole time
with no AC
v nice 50C ambient, easy
yeah
I'll try it again tonight and see if it unfucks itself, if it's truly dead I'm out $loadsamoney 😔
probably end up getting an ax1600 out of sequence for my upgrade cycle
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
You didn't leave the PC in sleep mode or turn it off?
I usually leave it in low clock mode with the monitors off
it's not normally an issue, I suspect the intake under the PSU vent is clogged again 😔
I remember the one time my PSU fan failed and I came home to smelling burnt plastic
Pulled the plug on that system so fast and put it in front of the A/C vent lol
I had an enermax die on me a few years ago because the intake fan seized up and the power electronics were like "nope"
dust?
yeah
the exhaust on my case is dummy powerful so there's a lot of passive intake through all the seams and low flow areas in the chassis
maybe I'll just take my air compressor to it and see if I can reset the clock and buy some time until october
Everyone and their mother has an O11 now
put some anime stickers on it
I quite like my current case. The back side is a little messy but thats mostly me being lazy and I can possibly fix that if I redo the cooling with the upgrade
It would be nice to have front-panel USB-C etc tho so that's why I figured by the next upgrade I would look into a new case
So if the first trend was RGB then it was White, what will be the next trend?
All clear cases?
I forgot PSUs used to be top-mounted
oh yeah baybee
hot air into the psu
what could go wrong
they'd often have a second fan too

the all-acrylic clear cases got replaced with all-glass clear cases
somehow we've accepted more expensive and more fragile

my psu is at the top because I have an inverted case
but its not taking in any dust there cause its not near any of the fans
I think I'm going to put my PSU on teflon risers in the custom chassis and add a dedicated duct with a gasket so it can only intake its own air without being forced to accept any negative pressure from the rest of the chassis

Yeah that's the one thing I don't like about the 570X is it's in a box on the bottom instead of the entire length of the case, so it makes fitting a lot of cables into a modular super hard
You basically need a pair of those curved needlenose pliers
here's your psu bro
then I turbo killed it trying to replace the PSU fan because the 12V rail internally was hot
forgot to pull the ATX connector off the board while I was dicking with the guts of the unit and blew the whole board out
quite literally "a moment of laxity spawns a lifetime of heresy"
just use stainless with temperature bluing
adding threads to copper is fucking suffering because the metal is so soft
and anything you screw into it will tear out the threads no problem
depends, usually brass though
the S-tier ones are copper but finding 100% copper is pretty rare
the endcaps are usually steel or brass and the fins are copper
lol
the plus side to those is you get access to the bottom ventilation
but yea, pain in the butt to run cables to. Heck even with the full length ones it's annoying
i think the o11d way is the best haha
plus you never have to worry about cables being too short
These are so cringe lol
all you did was buy product bruh
idk I think they're ok
hank wants the ship where his tech is banished to the man cave
Hell yeah
and the rest of the house is Live Laugh Love paradise
When I game I don’t want anyone around me.
heh
suddenly i wanna do a live love laugh pc build
make the case out of used pallet wood
add some dried flowers
hank games on an original game boy in his 40 year old dodge only
the only game he plays is tetris
HEHE
Columns on the game gear okay
yuck
I still proudly remember a few months ago, my guildies in dofus invited me to a tetris wars online thingy
I destroyed them so bad they cried that I was a cheater XD
man I'm not even that good
but I ❤️ tetris
lol hank cheating on his girl with some catgirls SMH my head
they call him hardwarERPhank
How the fuck do you meet ppl on animal crossing?
tedious slow typing on a switch software keyboard, i assume
meeting on campus probably
i imagine you switch to a different service pretty quick
Honestly, this sounds wholesome af for understanding other cultures.
i know someone that met their current gf on animal crossing
Yeah the name is kinda oof, but say you had some ethnic chinese in your school but didn't know how to relate to them or why they had troubles with certain things. Could have a game like that and understand where they were coming from with pressures etc.
imagine spending 10k CAD on a PC and sticking a $10 funko pop in it
can't even use the minions from SE store because I think those are 6.5" too
i have a polygonal pikachu that is about that height
just buy a 3d printer and make a figure that fits
you have money to waste, just do it
buy a 6" solid gold bar
naw bruh
silver
it has to be a bar of silver with stupid memes imprinted in it
hey that was cute ice
he needs something under 6"... maybe a life sized casting of uh
ah just fill the computer with lalafel statues
oh, he used hard tubing
She looks way too thin there
I can't see that anymore without thinking about that stupid kongming dance clip lol
Just cut her feet off /s
Etsy has Marin figures just under 6" btw
it's Etsy
I'm assuming some nerd made them
especially considering there are bikini and nude versions
most of those are 3d printed
or are just the STLs
yeah it looks printed
what's kind of annoying about etsy is that it takes a fucking age to train the algorithm to serve you SFW content
but if you look at one NSFW STL file to see what the fuck the thumbnail was supposed to be, your feed gets flooded with NSFW STLs for weeks
like, yes, I love tiddy, no, I don't want to see a million badly made tiddy STLs
¯_(ツ)_/¯
I'd use Nanamo tbh
you can't put a prize figure in your 8000 dolla pc
needs to be at least a 30,000 yen scale
automod working overtime
30" seems about right for the scale
the RE2 diorama from prime 1 is 48" across
it's designed to be a centerpiece
Of course they already have models even though the series isn't out yet
Odd name too.
I already ordered the entire gunpla line lol
Although why do so many of the good female pilots in gundam have to be menhera in some way
I guess that's kinda true, but there are good male pilots who aren't menhera too. I'm just thinking back across Gundam atm and realizing so many of them are like menhera/dandere or something
Lunamaria acts normal.... sucks balls.
Amuro, Camille, Char, Bannagher etc
I would say those 4 are decent enough
I only can speak for UC, but being a newtype basically means you are depressed, anxious or absolutely fucking crazy
I'm talking like Quess, Plu or w/e her name was, the girl Shinn liked in Seed Destiny, etc.
I don't watch seed so I can't comment, but Quests was definitely a newtype of sorts lol
I guess the one girl in IBO on the antagonist side was decent enough, she just had that one dude on her brain 24/7
UC newtypes were basically space autism, for a lack of a better term
Behaviors always matched up
See cybernewtypes
Like four
I don't think AU has been much better ... have you seen Kira or Setsuna, or Mikazuki? heh
Mikazuki is a chad tho bc Atra mentions wanting a kid someday and he's like "Oh you want a kid? Sure, lets do it"
From the preview of wfm, the enw girl doesn't look too crazy
Although||there might be some reprecussions of her killing like 4 people and watching her father sacrifice himself||
Julieta Juris (ジュリエッタ・ジュリス, Jurietta Jurisu?) is a character who appears in the Mobile Suit Gundam IRON-BLOODED ORPHANS television series. Though she has no pedigree or rank, her piloting skills are outstanding, and Rustal Elion took note of her abilities and assigned her as a mobile suit pilot of the Arianrhod Fleet. She pilots a customized ver...
She's who I was thinking of. In IBO she just has Rustal on the brain
In 00 I think she was getting mindfucked by the drugs she was taking
Doesn't she turn out okay though? I want to say the movie comes back to her to show how she turned out
@odd sand I FOUND IT
The red fake 00 reactors gave her radiation poisoning when it killed her parents
seagate hold hentai just fine
just that top surveillance
the best CEO quote of all time is the seagate CEO
"look, we're not curing cancer here, we make things that help people store their porn"
not that the rest are any better, mostly toshiba and 2 other seagates
but not surveillance drives just normal 7200rpm
Was that their reasoning? I just remember she was out for revenge and slamming pills. I thought they gave her improved reaction times to keep up with the Gundams or something
I wonder if you can firmware flash them to other types, or if the chips in them are different as well
(for the surveillance one)
GN drive space cancer
this seems like a question for google i will get back to you, but i doubt you can flash them
"their output performance was improved" ... is that their excuse for why the tau-drive suits in 2nd season were as powerful/more powerful than the gundams and seemingly never ran out of power in battle, even after using transam?
Yay ewaste!

Or try to sell it used on ebay I guess
I believe so because they were handed legit drives, so they could recreate it better
Idk 00 universe was kinda weird and went LOOK
EX MACHINA AND ALIENS
Really fast
Yeah my headcanon is S2 was meh and the movie doesnt exist
Yes, S1 was god-tier
The whole aliens thing wasn't even lampshaded in the TV series
Like if it was it was like the very smallest of hints imho
That was my biggest issue with it, beyond aliens in a gundam series being like ... wat? Was that it wasn't established at all
Like you can actually see the suits develop and ultimate end up at unicorn
Ehh kinda... UC is all over the place with design up until Unicorn
I've never liked the concept because Gundam has always, no matter the timeline focused on human issue and ever massive expanse of space
There are a number of very high-spec suits that are just one-offs for no explainable reason
i mean the super high spec suits can mostly be explained
Like why wouldn't you keep using the anti-beam coating from the Hyakushiki?
Didn't they literally say, it was incredibly difficult to reproduce in good yields
And later down the line it was basically useless due to increase weapon output?
That doesn't mean you would give up on it entirely, you would just keep using it on ...well ... Gundams.
Speaking of Unicorn, I still only watched up to Ep3 when it first aired
I wouldn't be surprised if they kept using it, but weapon fire power just mitigated it
Of what I've seen tho Kshatriya kinda seems like the ultimate newtype platform
All the gundams in that series were newtype platforms
I know, but it seems like the ideal one to build around going forward. Like build the unicorn system into the kshatriya for added agility ... and it has 24 funnels
360 shields mounted to the shoulders, a lot of mass behind it to bully other units in melee combat if it came to it. 2 dozen funnels to attack from all directions to mince basically anything that isn't a top-tier newtype
Tbh I don't know universe after unicorn because I consider it to be the end of UC
But apparently the unicorn models were sealed away afterwards
So lazy retcon of power lol
Well given the Unicorn has a Destroy Mode or something, I assume it's considered too dangerous
For like, pilot mental health etc.
But yes, Gundam as I said does suffer a bit from the Star Trek tech syndrome of certain things just never being talked about again
I suppose if you consider Tomino also wrote Turn-A, the Unicorn starts getting into similar territory to Turn A/X battles and just being so powerful it can lay waste to the entire planet
I havnt bothered with Turn-A
We're close to the end of the novels Tomino wrote for UC though I think, right?
I believe he wrote Hathaway events
Turn A is pretty good if you enjoy UC and the more "quaint" 80s storytelling style of it
When it first released it definitely seemed retro throwback and was one of the last cel-painted series ever made
It basically tries to wrap a bow around the entire Gundam universe of UC and AU stuff to that point
The Char-clone Harry Ord is pretty cool
Yeah, ijust saw the turn a Gundam and made me go wtf
Designed by Sam Mead of Aliens fame
Yeah... you basically have to handwave most of the mech designs
The Turn-X is actually a pretty decent mecha design if you set aside it doesnt look like a gundam
Then Turn A and others with the COCKpit are kinda uhh...
Thats... blasphemous lmfao I kinda watch gundam for their designs lool
Oh actually
I want to say there are some regular mobile suit designs in the series bc they keep digging up old stock
Only the first 2-3 episodes so far
Which brings up another gripe I have about Gundam: The stupid philosophical nonsense female characters lol
5th gen Gundam :solid:
Lol ok yeah
Like, why does he like her? Why is she even there? How could she possibly help the plot? sigh
Yeah and the Zabi girl in Unicorn a bit but I guess shes just dead weight other than her political connections and not really nonsense
Ahdbdada lol
Which honestly for the Sumo and the Turn-A is a terrible fucking design bc it puts you directly out front
Yeah lol
..
I really liked the stock knightmare frame from Code Geass. It was fairly functional and practical for a mecha: Pilot compartment in the back behind sizable armor. Could deploy wheels to go faster, etc.
Harry Ord tho its just his personality is fun.
Friendly and personable, very competent as a pilot, loyal but would slap your ass if wrongs needed to be righted
I have a hot take, I do not like code Geass or consider it overttly a mech anime
I would see it more of a political drama with some mechs sprinkled in
Like there are way too many people who consider it the end all Mecha anime
Yeah that's stupid, it has mechs in it but its a political drama with scifi elements
Honestly, I really disliked S2 bc as is usual with Sunrise it lost focus
You go from practical mech designs where superior strategy wins the day, to a full-on Gundam Ep50 beam spam wasting a dozen grunts at a time
ahhhh
I hate it when I buy hardware and it beckons for me to buy ... more hardware....
nah it's more like
I want my right side keyboard to be used on 4 different computers
Kvm switch ho!
yup
Otherwise there is that all software solution they showed on LTT
i'm going to buy a usb switch for the purpose lol
yea there's a few ways to do that
synergy is like $60 for the nice encrypted version though
i'
I'm pretty sure I've bought all the RGB I could possibly want
you can't see the PSU in my computer, so it doesn't matter, and those only go up to like 600w anyway
not doing custom wc
I could go with nanoleaf lights but I am not doing that until I buy a house hahahha
I'm using a kvm I really like, but for this purpose I'm just buying a usb switch
i just hope the remote doesn't clash with my kvm's remote since they're... similar
I actually really like my "kvm" setup
I use a simple USB switch and a daemon I wrote that sends DDC over the display cable to switch monitors when it detects the appropriate device changes
Configurable per-connector multi-rail OCP
what on earth
this thing is bonkers
every time I look at the AX1600 I'm like "must own this" but then I see how much it costs
they used to make those in cheaper versions 😦
corsair completely ditched their digital PSUs except for that one
they do have an ax860i...
the 1600 is cutting edge tech, is why
the other versions of the AXi also had that, though
the GaN power mosfets?
I don't think so
commercialized gallium nitride power circuitry is relatively new
like, last two-ish years
also, the 860i doesn't have customizable per-connector power limiters
yea I get ya
the AX series is corsair's "flagship" line, so the 1600 sits right at the top as its own completely untouched king
I didn't realize that the ax1600i was itself a different model from the other AXis
(which is terrible marketing :D)
yeah, I only went digging for info because the 860 and 1200 shared DNA
the 1600 is a completely different critter made by flextronics
does flextronics even normally make PSUs?
but it's $630 god damned dollars
that sounds more custom than say, evga grabbing a super flower psu and slapping their name on it
apparently they do, they're an OEM scale company
that is what I meant though
that sounds like something totally custom
most american brand PSUs are literally just take someone else's unit and slap their name on it
it might be custom for corsair, with the hope that they'd be able to make lower power versions to replace the 1200 and 860 as well
the funny thing to me is that it's still huge
since the 1200 has been thanos snapped out of the universe outside "we don't know when or if this is coming back into stock" listings
despite Using GANs, so far most GaN power supplies are smaller
I mean, it's 1600 god damned W, sustained
more than my video card
for sure
plus titanium power efficiency
another thing to consider
I don't know how you'd even run the thing at full power on 115V line
is it uses a different kinda power plug so, dont' lose the cable. 😄
residential 115V caps at 15A
it might have a 20a plug?
it has to, you can't use a NEC 15A on that thing lmao
1600W is out of spec for the traditional plug, you need the next tier up with the sideways hot
it has that
yeah, those aren't hard to find at all
Wire directly into power grid
note the iec connector the psu has lol
I'm not being facetious, you can find replacement cables on mcmaster with pretty much any source/sink connector combo you want
the problem is that going to a 20A line will require a new socket and breaker, especially if your dumb ass intends to run it at full power
ugh, just thinking about having to rewire the wall for that connector makes me angry
lmao, looked up IEC 20A connectors and of course the second hit is a fucking snake oil audiophile adapter
ahhhhhhhhh
made of stainless steel and carbon fiber for the purest audio as judged by japanese audiophiles
it took me forever to find a pic of the power cable so i looked at ebay and found a used one
finally found one that came with the ac cable and......
and and
this is definitely not the correct cable lmao
holy shit lol
never mind the gigantic impedance jump from using a compression connector on your cable 😔
sarah saying holy shit 😄
uh... that's not how IEC 20A works lmao
YEAH
the whole fucking point of the different connector is to make sure dipshits don't connect a high current load in a residential socket
i'm with ya
i was expecting this
but the precedent for the other cable isn't unheard of
mac pros have that sideways connector and use a 15a plug
well... except for the trash can anyway
I've seen the other kind of cable with the IEC 20 on the sink side and the IEC 15 on the source side
which is fuckin stupid and we had endless problems with breakers blowing because the load is too high
I'm pretty sure I'd have to dremel off the back side of the PSU enclosure to have anywhere to connect the cables into that in this case
I'm guessing at least 90% of the people who buy the ax1600i never actually get anywhere near the rated load
that's pretty solidly a "I bought the $600 PSU because I wanted the best"
they had to put the IEC 20 on the supply itself so people who know know to buy the correct cable if they intend to run it at full throttle
people who don't put it for sale on ebay for $300 because it keeps tripping their breaker
I would have to remove the hdd cage entirely
if you're planning on buying a 40 series GPU, you're probably going to need it
Even my 650 P2 feels a bit cramped in my Meshify C
ideally there would be a much more rational 1200W unit that takes up less volume and has the overhead for GPU transients
but that doesn't exist yet

That's what the green wire is for. In Japan et al where they only have 2-prong outlets you attach that under the screw that mounts the plate to the wall to act as your ground.
idk about the 650, but the P2/G2 are rather long PSUs
yup
but that was being sold in the US soooooo
the 860 was babby sized compared to the galaxy I pulled out originally
like this little tissue box compared to a pair of sneakers
I had to buy an adapter for my laptop the first time I was in Japan to plug it into the wall
Although now I have a surface laptop and that only comes with the 2-prong cable
lmao saw this on slashdot.
The collapse in cryptocurrencies is easing supply of the most sought after watches on the second-hand market, depressing prices for hard-to get-Patek Philippe and Rolex models.
I fucking hate this
wait don't tell me that so many of those cryptobros bought golden watches that it actually had an impact on their pricing?
Yep, they've had a flood of the used market

👀
Y'all
My GPU, Mobo, SSD, RAM and PSU have shipped
My case is being prepared for shipment
My CPU and Cooler have not shipped

74C? hope he added some chemicals to bring up his coolant's boiling point
at 74C and standard atmospheric pressure he's approaching subnucleate boiling
lol
which is going to make his life even worse because bubble formation will cause localized heating

SNB is the phase right before the cooling system on a nuclear reactor fails
yiiiikes
... actually
where are the fan speeds
why would you rock a commander pro and not have your fans hooked up to it
lol
your setup is great
I think I just have the regular fan controller and not the fancy one. I never bothered to fully connect it
Good news: the rest of my Amazon transactions went through
Bad news: the rest of my Amazon transactions went through
I'm fucking broke
Time to sell a kidney
same
I wasn't expecting my first monthly payment for two parts to go through ahead of the rest of the payments
So I just have to pull a couple 0s out of my savings and I'll be fine
I mean, it will run down the impeller faster, I guess
I just leave it at 60% since I don't need the full pump output
I think the VPP655 goes to, uh, 24 GPH at full output or something like that
it's the same as running a fan at full speed
I mean, air is a lot less effort to move than water
impellers don't enjoy being run at full speed, and apparently the VPP755 is known for premature bearing wear if you run it too fast
I just buy pumps directly
D5 style pumps last damn near forever
unless they're the VPP755 apparently
which has its own whole-ass thread on overclock.net complaining to alphacool about how it's a piece of shit and the impeller breaks down in a couple hundred hours
rip
lmao I take it his parking brake was insufficient and the boat dragged everything back down into the water?
43MB for 4 seconds... bruh...
spend less on candles
$0 spent on candles in my lifetime
real use cases? just leave it running like, fucking linpack or something
it's your money, do whatever man lmao
I don't benchmark, I just run games and tweak if I crash
this dude's jekyll and hyde setup lol
-installs steam on his mac to see what mac games he has-
i mean there's really no reason to play games on it 😄
so the answer to that is.. not much really
there were a few things
the reddit comments about that are great
Is this what they call a car-pool?
considering a Tesla has been driven basically completely underwater; not much
“Perfect for the little ones when they need to go to the bathroom”
Finally they deployed a toilet at the supercharger.
why does that sound like an 82 chevy trying to start
Tesla is cringe prove me wrong
omg! you're 💩 but with a 🌶️ ! 👏 i love elon musk (this is a paid comment)

I wonder if tesla shills get paid in shitcoins for defending elon so hard
like, they're doing more damage control than a paid PR firm, totally for free
"yeah tesla's factory blew up that bus full of schoolkids, but they were poor and the gigafactory will be producing flying cars by 2025"
im sorry your tesla door got stuck? and you didn't pre-install c4 in the hinges to escape? wow guess you're just one of those dumb normies go buy a toyota
